  1. Ashley's decision not to take the money and run may well come back to haunt us all and, none more so, than him. Imagine we go down, no Rafa, the squad harmony completely shattered, the only decent players we have departed and him being in charge of appointing the new manager? Doesn't bear thinking about but it's completely foreseeable. He'll deserve it. We won't.
  2. Have never liked him but his general effort and overall effectiveness have improved remarkably over the last few weeks.
  3. Lejeune has also cost us points this season, probably more per game played than this fella. I'd be very wary of sticking Lejeune straight back into the side as he looks like he takes a long time to get his sharpness back. His first game back earlier in the season (Southampton away) he looked like he had the turning circle of a fuel truck. He also gave away a pen at a time when it looked like we were home and hosed.
  4. My guess is that he's prettying the books by not heavily investing in either transfers nor wages. I'd say we've near enough broken even over that window, certainly in terms of wages. All reinforces the fact that he's very much on the market with it. That said, should we go down, he'll have risked everything for the sake of a few million quid.
  5. This is it. Those two extra points could be huge at the end of the season.
  6. Nah. They were a proper stink in the PL for years before they went down. Couldn't be arsed with yet another London club in the PL either. Fulham is one of the few kinda charming clubs left in England (in the top three divisions, at least). Not a very important team, but I really like the Cottage. Would rather have them in the Prem than the likes of West Brom, Watford and Burnley. Agreed. Great little ground and a nice club.
  7. I'd have taken him here and played him behind Slimani. He looks quality, what is allardyce thinking Agreed mate. Allardyce is such a knob.
  8. I'd have taken him here and played him behind Slimani.
  9. I think the 11/4 on offer for us to go down are great odds.
  10. Guessing WBA would have just come in at that point anyway but aye, this leaves f*** all manoeuvring time. Clueless. Before Ashley players wouldn't have turned down Newcastle to play for WBA regardless of family. Yup - not in a million years would a player have chosen WBA over us under the previous NUFC regime and I say that as one of their biggest critics.
  11. Bailey can ram his opinion up his hoop. If the club would actually back the manager with proper funds and a commitment for us to compete then perhaps convincing people to come would be made easier for Rafa.
  12. That Agent Mike guy on twitter has been bang on all window, not got one wrong, reckons he's deffo off to WBA.
  13. Aye. Told him it was closer to London or some shit . You can sell anything with a bit of passion and charisma. Two words sadly lacking from any description of Penfold by anyone, ever. Fucking hopeless pricks. He can't even take credit for bringing Rafa here. Rafa contacted us to express interest in the job. Exactly! Rafa turned up and told him he'd be taking the job and to fuck off back to his office for a few months. Bunch of utter cocks. What is the point of Mike Ashley's Newcastle United? Because it sure as fuck isn't football.
  14. Aye. Told him it was closer to London or some shit . You can sell anything with a bit of passion and charisma. Two words sadly lacking from any description of Penfold by anyone, ever. Fucking hopeless pricks.
  15. Aye but there's just no comparison in playing football at our place compared to the Hawthorns ffs . For a striker, what better place to get your mojo back? I think he'd have been a really big risk and the club should be prepared to invest more to back Rafa but it's still fucking ludicrous that they've not been able to sell football at Newcastle United over WBA to him. This is Mike Ashley's Newcastle. Like it needed any introduction. Quicker he fucks off, the better. And he can take fucking Penfold with him, the useless fat little baldy cunt.
  16. Aye but Pardew over Rafa? Come on. These niggly injuries must have been to the brain and not the body, the fucking mong that he is.
  17. I have to say, this would NEVER have happened under Hall/Shepherd/Fletcher etc. When they got in the room with a player, he came to NUFC. This daft baldy cunt can't sell the club to ANYBODY ffs. You need someone who can sell the region and/or the club to potential players. Can you imagine SBR or KK allowing him to go to West fucking Brom FFS? If you didn't laugh, you'd cry. Pack of utterly inept morons.
  18. I very much doubt that. You and me both. Hope his leg falls off and Prdew trips over it and under a bus. Slags.
  19. Can't even lend a player properly  . Oh well, back to the drawing board, might encourage the club to actually back the manager properly. You know, with money, not donnay socks and slazenger vests. Cunt.
  20. Taking a "punt" on undoubted quality though. Even if he's fit for 5 games and scores 3-4 goals for us, it'll go a long way to ensuring we stay up (IMO). I'm not doubting his quality more his ability to stay fit. He pulls up in the first game and we're fucked. Proper fucked. All because Ashley doesn't want to spend any real money. Where has all of the talk of breaking our transfer record gone?
  21. Such an Ashley move this . We're still taking a chance on damaged goods. He's a really good player who is terribly injury prone and, if this doesn't work, we'll have gambled everything on him. So, rather than breaking the transfer record, really committing to Rafa and his vision for the squad we are taking a punt on a bloke with a ropey fitness record in the hope it works. Survival on the cheap. I'm sorry but I don't see this as a statement of intent much rather a punt. That's coming from someone who quite likes the greedy cunt too.
