Spurs season ticket holders I know don't rate Townsend at all.

Who wrote that for the Mag? Lee Ryder's long lost brother? Errors all over the place.

A good manager would make Sissoko at a CM work. His skill set is not too disimilar to Keiran Dyer's and Sir Bobby (a proper manager) made that prosper, albeit next to Speedo a class DM. Good managers get Aaron Hughes looking a decent right back in the top half of the prem, or win champions leagues with Jerzy Dudek. They win the league with help from John O'Shea and Wes Brown. Both Sissoko and Wijnaldum would be highly effective CMs under decent managers (although not next to each other in a two). They should both start CM in a 433 with a decent DM between them - that should be our recruitment aim along with a solid scrappy stocky stab his own mum for the last Yorkshire pudding type CB. Totally different to Dyer imho. I'm not Dyer's biggest fan but Sissoko isn't a patch on him. As for this desire to try him in CM, it's frankly bewildering. He's not a CM in a million years. He can't even manage the responsibility of RM in 9 games out of 10, let alone the greater responsibility of being in the middle of the park. A total non-starter.

He's speaking from experience there IMHO the heartless little cunt. Shit pundit too.
-
Still think we'll drop. Villa game is going to be massive.
-
Good ball in particular for the winner. He doesn't get those balls right very often. Just a question as to when the next game is that he'll turn up for.

His day is nowhere near 25% of the time. Absolutely nowhere near.
-
He's clearing a couple of hundred quid a day mate. It's hardly life changing. I'm sure he could earn 25% less anywhere and not look a cunt for it.
-
Christ, is that it? Not worth the hassle, honestly.

Totally agree. Though can see the argument in terms of solidity/organisation. He's not going to have the charisma required in the long term though. Yeah I can see that. That's why I'd definitely prefer a Keegan/Klopp etc kind of character - someone with a bit gravitas who the players actually respect. Me too but name one...... The problem with those personalities though is that they don't take commands off arseholes like Ashley.

Is Moyes really that much of an improvement on SMc? Don't see it myself.
-
Why, out of interest? Not having a go. Just think that because of his experience with Everton, he would be able to bring some solidity to a very unsolid team. It wouldn't be pretty but he gets a team organised and compact. Not sure it's as simple as that with our feckless wonders but I hear you.

Again, not a bad shout. I'd be concerned about the sustainability of that appointment but, in terms of a reaction, I'd back him over a run of the mill Brit that's for sure. They've simply got to think outside of the box on the next appointment.
-
Agree that we've got nothing positive going for us but who would you turn to? There's nobody .
-
To be expected when these cunts come to town.
-
Wouldn't surprise me either. I can't stand the cunt but he's certainly got the bollocks for it. You certainly couldn't bring in the likes of Warburton/Dyche etc. They'd be lambs to the slaughter and so would many of the foreign coaches suggested. Even Moyes would have a massive question mark hanging over him. Would he be able to get a reaction out of the feckless wonders any more than SMc could? I'm not so sure. History tells us they'd be better organised but if the players dont give a shit, what difference does it make?
-
He'll be on relative buttons like. No question. Dekka used to knock about in a golf when he had the job . Entirely there to take instructions and embed them though. No MD with any gravitas would take it, sadly.

Do you rate him Groo? I think he's a very good player with his best years still to come What I've seen of him gives me a postive impression in terms of his drive and desire. I think he'd be just what we need in the middle of the park tbqh.
