I’d rather watch Bin Ladens celebrations after 9/11 tbh. Pack of plastic cunts.
-
. What did you think of the 3 seasons before this one and who was that ‘mostly on’? THAT is the point man. This isn’t blind faith. This is HOPE based on previous evidence. It’s really not that hard.

Feels like a good time to flog him from a commercial standpoint. I’d happily let him go for the right price tbh but given the sheer volume of dogshit we have out wide and with Gordon chucking the towel in, we’ll likely have to keep him. He’s probably the only ‘keepable’ winger we have now sadly. It’s a shame though because it would be good business to chop him in now for a small profit given the PSR benefits and the fact he already cannot beat a man. Another years football in his legs will mean we’ll get a much lower fee if we sell him the following year.

Nailed on that imho.

Reality is, we should have emerged from the Isak sale with a weaker centre forward but a much stronger squad. The volume of spend we did should have guaranteed that. Sadly, we’re weaker up top, elsewhere and, in particular, in the bank balance after a disastrous handling of last summers window. Isak leaving was merely a trigger, our response to it was just terrible. What could have made us stronger, made us weaker and killed a season along with any positive momentum. This summer will make or break Howe’s future imho. Ross Wilson better be ready. And he better be good. We can’t afford for him not to be.
-
There is clearly a fuck tonne of issues behind the scenes imho. If Howe stays, he needs to clear out the non-committed, the non-believers and the non-capables. Big job. That’s probably about 10 players. He’s then got to sell the dream to their replacements and bond them all together in a new look team ready to attack the season.
-
I could certainly see how Wilson would be uncomfortable with further major investment on our right side without first fixing the fuck ups of last summer. Just a shame that’s all.
-
When he’s demonstrated so comprehensively that he’s a very capable, likeable and dignified bloke, it’s not hard to see why people would want him to turn things around. It’s harder, imho, to think the opposite. Every part of me wants to see Eddie Howe succeed here again. Because, if he does, everyone wins.
-
If that’s true you’d think Howe might have been a tad pissed off at Hopkinson stating we had money to spend in January when we didn’t make any moves… Perhaps the club were reluctant to back him at that point given the way the season was going? Either way, missing out on Rayan when we’ve had to witness total dross on our right hand side is quite the shame.
-
Ah. Didn’t realise that. Still feels like a bit of a sad end to his time here tbh but understandable I guess.

If patronising was an Olympic sport, you’d be a gold medalist.

Howe massively underestimated the first Derby imho. He then didn’t prioritise the second one. For such an intelligent bloke, he’s certainly missed the learning opportunity in that imho. His derby performance this season has massively undone much of the goodwill across the supporter base. If he can’t see that ahead of next season and majorly prioritise those fixtures next year, he’ll be in a world of trouble. This isn’t Bournemouth and Southampton.

A profiteering exercise? How exactly? All they’ve done since buying us is spend money. There is barely any profit. And what profit there is, is all reinvested. They will only ‘profit’ when they sell us and that will only come following a sustained period of sporting success, commercial success and investment success. None of which you can sustain without a successful football team. The manager of which is currently Eddie Howe. If he performs next season as he has this last season he will almost certainly not be in the role. Through his choice or theirs. Either way, they’ll have to appoint someone who will bring some form of success to ever see a profit on us. So, in my view at least, this is in no way a profiteering exercise.

You’ll find no argument from me on that. Not sure big Jamaal is the answer mind 😂.
-
Yep. There’s only him and Bruno I’m arsed about leaving. If either of them went, I’d be genuinely gutted.
-
When the time is right I’d be very interested in a poll asking what finish next season would be deemed acceptable for Howe. In my opinion, after this years shitshow, with no europe or other distractions, with backing this summer (which I’m sure he’ll get again), it has to be champions league football. If I was setting his targets, that’s where I’d be putting it for next season. Europa etc not good enough with one game per week and loads of time on the grass with them all. CL or nothing imho next season.
-
Can anyone associated with NUFC say they did well today? Any player or member of the coaching staff? That looked to me today to be a very broken group of people. Plenty of them checked out and plenty more just wanting this shit to be over. Howe has a helluva job pulling this around next year imho. Major major overhaul needed. He specifically needs to root out all of them that don’t wanna be here. There was plenty today.
-
Spurs would have gone if it wasn’t for Villa throwing that game. It’s the points that made the difference sadly.
-
Anyone else find him slipping off out of the back door a bit weird without there being any sort of fanfare or big goodbye? Seems odd to me given Trippier has been sucked off by Ross Wilson and Co. in front of 52000 fans yet Lascelles’s departure barely got a mention…
-
Terzic gone to Bilbao now hasn’t he?
-
And Villa too the brummie cunts.
-
Sincerely hope he’s here come the start of the season but don’t think it’s guaranteed by any means.
-
Fuck’em. Tell the pair of twats it’s either that or 4 more years cutting the grass and marking the training pitch. About all they’re good for anyway.
-
I was hoping West Ham stayed up because; A) Spurs B) Nuno is probably the only cunt stupid enough to take Elanga off us.
