to be fair that should be directed at the core of posters aswell (of which i have been known to drift in and out) Maybe you're right but it's just NE5 always seems to rise to any potential board bashing and a simple "I don't agree - I always thought Shepherd had the Club's best interests at heart as I've said 1 million times" would probably avert such long arguments.
-
NE5 - I don't mean this in a patronising manner and apologise in advance if thats how it comes across but..........you've made your points about the previous regime in a million and one threads now, you're not daft, so why don't you give it a break for a while? There is a core of posters on this site who know your opinion well and by constantly re-iterating your point people will get sick of you and your contribution. You've got so much to add to the site and forum in terms of historic knowledge of the club, older players and you're view on how things are going currently and this constant argument about Shepherds regime will result in people (incorrectly) tarring you with a certain brush. As a compromise - Why don't we try a one post response to any anti-shepherd/previous owners threads, make your point (just in case people forget your thoughts) and leave it at that? Please don't take this the wrong way. I feel it needs to be said for the good of the forum because I for one get sick of scrolling through millions of Old Board were great/Shepherd was shite arguments.

'HTT is short post shocker!!!!!' Yeah - you're right he does look a bit bigger. Played quite well yesterday.

You admit to knowing nothing about the lad yet you class him as "promising" why? Because he is young? Or he has trial at other Premiership clubs? Taking a quick browse of TheFA.com I dont think he is any of England youth teams. All I know he is CB who has played a few games & got sent off in one of them. Simply because if he had no promise then we wouldn't have been alerted to him, scouted him nor made an offer for him. We would not have bought him if he didn't have potential. Thats why I called him a 'promising signing'.
-
Positive to see us buying promising youth players. Can't say I know anything about the kid though. £1.1m is quite a bit of wedge but hopefully he'll prove well worth it over the coming years.

Thought Geremi and Butt could've influenced the game far more with a bit more ambition in getting up the field rather than being so content to sit and break up play. If Geremi could improve his corners we could have been one or two up inside the first ten minutes. I really hope our set pieces improve. On a positive, and as everyone else has already said, Beye looked good again and it was nice to see Cacapa come back and look so assured. That game, personal performance and clean sheet will do him the world of good. Well done to Big Sam for leaving him out until a (relatively) simple test against Fulhams forward line, away from home and without a noisy set of opposition fans to give him stick. Really good man-management for me.

What the fuck are you on about man? Is '10% of a good performance' even a term that can be understood by normal human beings? And no, Owen should not get into the team as soon as he's fit because he fucks up Allardyce's thinking re: formation and system. He'd have to play ten times better to be considered good. Martins isn't playing as the system expects - he's slap bang in the centre, where Owen would be doing a better job, especially as he has experience of scoring goals from the right of three strikers at Real Madrid. James, How do you measure ten times better? Pray tell.

Fancy this today. Although Healy will score for them.
-
Good.

Are you sure it wasn't Bramble with a Houdini tackle? Nobody knew he could do it?
-
Oh crap. Relying on your boys now Brummie.
-
Bollocks.
-
Good news. I got 5/1 on Villa to win and I got 12/5 on the draw when placed at H/T.

1-1 @ SOS

The guy above me in my league has him as his captain. Gutted. 28 points already without his star or anything yet.

Fulham (a) Pre-Match Thread (15th December, 1715 KO)

I've got no problem with that. -
Looks promising for you. Cheers Mate. Quite a way to go yet, especially with Rovers only having 10 men. I also took Villa and Villa/Sunderland to draw.
-
Got 16/1 for Blackburn to win and 6.5/1 for the draw at half time. Put a fiver on Rovers win and a couple of quid on the draw. Keep your fingers crossed for a Rovers win.
-
Gutted. I backed them at half time and backed the draw as a saver. Thought I was in the money when Stelling said 'there's been a sending off at the JJB' and all I heard was booing in the background! Says a lot about what attendances Wigan get. - hadn't thought of that!
