He for me at least seems to be trying to deflect the blame and place it all on Howe. Now maybe that was the case but it’s unnecessary to bring it up in public, especially after the win at the weekend.

Completely agree, and despite talk of spurs being all over us, their only chances came from lucky deflections. They didn’t create a clear cut chance all game.

Is he out of contract next summer ?

Fair play to him, would have been easy to sit and take the money here (sure he did that in Howe’s first season).

A nothing answer that one tbh, when we are so desperate for extra revenue then it should have been done by now imo.

It wasn’t the best performance by any means but a lot of positives. The biggest positive for me is that the performance and how we set up felt more deliberate. I felt you could see what we were trying to do and that hasn’t been the case at times. I mentioned in yesterday but it reminded me of the back end of Howe’s first season where we looked solid and went on a great run.

He also said Haaland was league one level, so whatever he said was shit I’d guess.

Thought we defended really well, they didn’t create anything clear cut. Lots of crosses but at no point did they cut us open. Can’t remember Pope making any big saves.

Thought Longstaff had a good game today tbh.
