  1. I think he'll struggle more against pacy wingers. Neither Foden or Bernardo Silva are particularly fast, hence why Trippier and Burn handled them pretty well. I don't think the injury has affected him at all since it was a bone fracture, not muscle/tendon injury, he's just never been very fast. His contribution on and off the pitch far outweights his limited limitations.

    Sven Botman

Every single player had a few shaky moments against Man City. It's hardly criticism to point out, though a bit weird if Botmans thread is the only place people have made the comment to single him out. He'll be immense for us.
  3. Looked like he was running with a cramp for the last 10 minutes. Didn't stop running though.
  4. We already have Trippier for corners and free kicks. We can find better players for a lower price to provide what he can outside of set pieces.
  5. I want to see Anderson given a full game at LCM or RCM to prove he can play a part (even if it's from the bench) against Wolves.
  6. Willock also left him for dead in the first half. Walker is 32 now, so he won't be as quick as he was 3-4 seasons ago. That shouldn't discredit ASM's performance today at all though. Walker is still a special phyiscal specimen.

    Dan Burn

Another great game. Think he benefitted today from playing against Bernardo Silva who isn't very fast or good at dribbling past players.
  8. Must be hung like a stud to score a goal like that today.
  9. Team struggling with poor squad mentality -> Let's spend £100m on a player refusing to train with their team to force a move away
  10. Doubt he'd be keen on joining us just to warm the bench.

    Nick Pope

Think it's harsh to call Dubs a liability. He is a very good mid-table keeper, and I don't think people should be taken up for questioning why the club focused on getting a keeper in ahead of attacking players. It's a legitimate question imo woth discussing. That being said, while I've acknowledged that Pope is the better keeper, I did not expect the gap between the two to be this big (provided Pope maintains this level throughout the season). He's justifying the transfer more and more each passing game.
  12. Great game. Gutted to let in two goals in so short succession after going up 3-1 but 3-3 against this Man City team is absolutely bonkers.
  13. Nah, he could manage it, and he would have been a good option to create something with fresh legs. Most important though we just needed a little more energy.
  14. I wish Howe was a little bit more trigger happy on substitutions. Bruno needs to go off for Anderson. He's been completely finished for 8-10 minutes now.
  15. Fucking hell. This team. These fans. Our manager
  16. Just seen highlights. Koulibaly Thick as pig shit. Leeds and Brighton really impressive. Don't like that two favorites have already lost today seeing as we are up next.
  17. Hopefully not to the extent the match is called off, but wouldn't mind if it was windy and pouring down. Poor weather together with a hostile environment in the stadium and a hard working, tough Newcastle could see the Man City players simply not wanting to be there and not be up for it.
  18. Getting Saka instead of Martinelli or Ødegård really paid off for me these 3 first rounds in FPL.
  19. Isn't it almost the way Pep uses Cancelo?
  20. Our days of buying cast offs from lower half PL teams is luckily over.
  21. Henderson saving Nottingham 3 points in two games now.
