  1. Not much positive to say about spurs, but Bergvall is surely playing himself into their starting line-up. Great performance from him today.
  2. It is so valuable to have the keeper as another reliable outlet in order to retain possession. We're so much more press resistant with him compared to Pope. It's difficult to quantify, but in theory we are avoiding a lot of unneccesary situations where we would either not pass to Pope and lose the ball to opposition team pressing, or Pope hoofing the ball out for a throw in and giving the opposition the ball. That being said, I still feel more confident with Pope in goal. Ideally we get a keeper in the summer who is as good or not far from Pope in goal, but on par with Dubs ability on the ball.
  3. Suspect one of the Norwegian commentators is a spurs fan too. Most excited hes been this game was then Solanke won the ball when pressing Burn, and spurs goal of course. Been screaming for a Joelinton red too. Fuck him
  4. Looks like he's caving in to the Tottenham crowd. Giving them much more now than the opening 15.
  5. Is Sarrs only job to mark Tonali out of the game? Haven't seen much of either, but usually together.
  6. Joelinton getting stuck in. Love it. Break them.
  7. Weird seeing Botmans name in the line-up its been so long Break a leg lad.
  8. Aye, having two seasoned CBs available is just the same as Spurs having to play an injured CB and an 18 year old midfielder at CB in his debut PL season
  9. They have a decent attack available, but to say they are anything more than down to the marrow in defence is disingenuous. Their likely line-up is Solano - Taylor - Huntington - Edgar level stuff.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Feel confident that we'll get someone if they fit our profile and is available at a decent price due to expiring contract/not getting enough playing time/falling out with current management or similar, otherwise we'll wait until summer....so...you're probably right
  11. We would still have 4 senior keepers on our books, so wouldn't think its a priority unless a really good deal is available to us.
  12. @DahnSahf Picture please. Just want to know if I should bother caring about your opinion or not.
  13. If Joelinton merks Maddison early he'll shrivel into his shell and disappear from the match and we'll "only" have to worry about Kulu, Son & Solanke. There will be goals. Hope we get the majority of them.
  14. Guess it depends a bit on what you put into reaching a ceiling. I don't expect a player at 25, whos been playing top level football regularly for the last 7 years to suddenly become a better player. I think we've seen Isaks ceiling. For me its more the hope and belief that this and the next 5-8 seasons he'll be able to consistently perform close to his ceiling.
  15. I hate seeing this thread so here is me bumping the thread to the top of the forum for the 500th time while not recognizing the irony at all.
  16. Her not using make-up in match analysis/football videos just makes her go up in my estimation imo.
  17. I think Højlund will become a great striker if Amorim against the odds miraculously turns Man Utd around from top to bottom, or if Højlund somehow can get away from Man Utd asap. He was one of the most promising strikers in the world, and is still young. I was desperate for us to be in for him before Man Utd slapped an obscene amount of money on the table for him. I don't think its unreasonable to say Højlund was ahead of Isak at the same age at 19. In theory he can become better than Isak who should be (and seems to be) in his prime now at 25, but time is running out fast. Unless something changes dramatically, I don't think its unreasonable to assume Højlund won't reach the level of Isak.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Great player no doubt, but not really a RW. It's the least played position of his between the three positions behind the striker, and its also the position he's been least productive in.
  19. Agree he's being underused, but Bruno can put in some set pieces I haven't seen Tonali do, like that awkward floated free kick, which isn't really floated but floats ( ) from the edge of the box that Schar scored against Liverpool as the most recent clear example. It's more a case of utilising the right set piece takers for the right situations imo rather than one being "miles" better than the other.
  20. Didn't know the litmus test for being a true fan was that you HAVE to frequent and participate regularly on your favorite teams most popular online forum.
  21. The arrogance of Amorim to expect a midfield two of Eriksen and Casemiro in 2024 to have any chance at all against prime Bruno, Joelinton and Tonali Although I appreciate his honesty in interviews, and he seems a genuinely lovely guy, it can't be very inspiring for his players to hear him cuck himself and the team in interviews 2 times a week.
  22. Beffling the form these are in atm. Can't help but feel they would perform similar to us if set up same way as us with the players available to them. Onana Dalot/Mazraoi - De Ligt - Martinez - Dalot/Shaw Fernandes - Ugarte - Mainoo Diallo - Højlund/Zirkzee - Garnacho Looks pretty tasty for a team hoping to compete for a CL spot imo.

RTG and some biker enthusiast forum see themselves as a "tech firm"?
  24. Disclaimer: I'm not advocating for us to sell Isak. We wouldn't need to bring in someone that scores as many as he does. We could also improve the team overall that would cumulatively score more than just Isak. Bringing in a striker that just scores half the goals Isak does, but also getting someone like Mbuemo or Cunha and we're already better off in terms of goals.
