All west ham now
-
So according to this article, McLaren f***ed himself royally by flirting with us and turning us down, angering both us and Derby into leaving him without employment completely? I hope they are right.
-
Looking at the schedules now on TSN and Sportsnet, can't find our game live. Surely they are not going to show Arsenal v West Brom, ahead of our game ??
-
I'm pretty sure we've had many moments of luck as well. We've been s*** it's as easy as that. We deserve to go down if we do! (we deserve it anyway imo) In this 11 game run, they've not had a lot of luck but you do make your own luck, like Sunderland did at Everton and we've done nothing to generate our own. I think in this current run, the 45 mins in the second half against Arsenal, is the only time we can say we deserved a bit a luck to flow to us. Those penalty appeals though were awful decisions, the handball against Southampton in the last minute springs to my mind immediately.
-
How much are all those ridiculously bad penalty decisions going to cost us in the end. Obviously not absolving Carver here but my god if just one of them had been called correctly (and converted of course) we could be in a situation where we don't need to beat West Ham this week end to survive.

We have to win now. Absolutely no way Manure will do anything other than turn up against Hull, nothing to play for, no motivation to save Newcastle ahead of Hull, in fact it's probably the other way around. No way in hell we win, so... fucking hell. Where are all these experts that laughed at us when we said "Carver is not a safe pair of hands and we could be relegated" now. Any of you regulars on Total Sport want to ask that panel of "experts" that question.

Just when I thought things couldn't possibly get any worse ! I was certain that with McLaren supposedly turning them down in the hour of need, he was no longer and option and equally certain even our ownership are not stupid enough to employ a man who has guided the club from top ten safety to having to win the last game of the season to stay in the division. However if McLaren is available for nothing, they forget about his apparent snub and follow their process by employing the cheap option. MClaren will not be as bad as Carver for sure but I've got no faith in his ability to either get us out of the championship or push us anywhere better than lower mid table.

I was thinking about this on my way to work this morning. It's unlikely to ever happen, my love for NUFC is having a detrimental effect well being, it's like an addiction like drugs, cigs and alcohol for others that I just can't kick. So what's my alternative, I need to follow some other team or have some other sport that draws my attention away from Football. To address the Latter first, I do enjoy American Football, my team in the NFL is the equally frustrating Miami Dolphins, in the college game I'm most passionate about the Florida Gators, although I like to see all the Florida schools do well, since I lived in that state for a numbers of years. The problem with this is the regular NFL season is 16 games !!! the College is 12 games. For both it runs from Sep to the end of Dec. Then it's a ridiculously long off season, the only highlight being the draft, which just ended a few weeks back. So how about following another team. There are lots of people who follow their local team and also follow a "big" team. I'm sick of following teams that constantly have me felling exasperated by. So what are my options. Chelsea, Arsenal and Spuds, I can't follow a London club no way in hell, especially Chelsea who've bought their way into the "big" team club. I've always despised Manure, on an equal par to the Mackems. Man Shitty luck at landing a Oil rich state to finance them are possibly the most dis-likable team of the lot. So that leaves Liverpool... Liverpool really, with Stevie G, the divine righters, the sickening you'll never walk alone, fuck that !! So how about going further afield and following a foreign club, I've got no affinity with France, Germany or Italy, I am half Spanish though. So who in Spain, my local club is Real Mallorca, that's more frustration. There's Athletico Madrid, doing well right now but always will be the smaller club in the big three there in Spain. Barca or Real Madrid then. Rarely is the Spanish league on TV here, what would be the point of following one of those clubs if I never got to watch them !! Neither team appeals to me either and watching that league over a full season would kill me. So at the end of the day, unless a mega rich group, buys NUFC or starts up this splinter club, my quality of life will just continue to suffer, all because of my place of birth. Life sucks

The thing I hate most about the current home shirt, isn't the ridiculous bib thing but the collar. It's just so big and ill fitting, this one looks by the pictures to be the still big fit, I don't want a plunging neckline ffs. Anyway I'm on a protest, not wearing any NUFC stuff until we have secured our PL status, that could be a long wait if results go against us this Sunday !!
-
To think we are probably going to be in a lower division than Bournemouth next season, I don't believe that's ever happened in our history, thanks John Carver for making Watford, Bournemouth, Leicester and Hull Tigers bigger football clubs than Newcastle United. Absolute fucking tosser !!
-
I'm sure we'll fight to a draw. Which in almost every situation will be next to useless to us. All depends on how Manure approach the Hull game. Our own game is kind of irrelevant as we don't understand how to win football games, the manager is a tool and the players are spineless dicks !!
-
Who would want a fucking autograph from that cunt, were the kids Mackems ? If not better get them tested !!!
-
It's all down to Manure, I'm afraid big few games coming up, we desperately need them to have something to play for in the last game of the season. They can still overtake both Manshitty and Arsenal, but if results go the wrong way, no matter what they do against Hull they finish 4th, if that's the situation, no doubt in my mind we are going down as we won't save ourselves and Hull based on the fight they showed today will beat an unmotivated Manure side at home.
-
If we can't beat an already relegated QPR that's just been beaten 6-0, then we really don't deserve to be anywhere near this division. I do think Hull will somehow get one win from their last two games, so it could be that we need at least 2 points to guarantee survival. I think we'll get it based purely on the motivation of the teams we are playing. West Ham are a funny case because if they are in the running for Europa League through fair play, will they be as committed in their challenges as they need to be. That coupled with the fact they have absolutely nothing else to play for surely means we'll get at very least a point from that game. I think a point at QPR will get us over the line as Hull would need to win and draw their last two and Sunderland would need 2 points also from their remaining tough games.
-
It's never wise to understate the stupidity of our owner and MD but even they are surely not idiotic enough to realise that if you give Carver a full season you may as well start planning for the championship in August. His tenure in the caretaker role has been nothing short of disastrous and appointing him full time would be met with a huge backlash even from the sitting on their hands lot at SJP. If we survive, the fact that McLaren didn't help us out in our hour of need could be the best thing that has happened to us, it forces the owner and MD to look elsewhere in their search, the simple choice between Mclaren and Carver is surely gone now !
-
Yep winning always makes things fun, ask Fulham fans how they've enjoyed their season back down their. Unfortunately we are not set up for that division this time. We are more than likely going to be in for a Fulham type of season than the one we enjoyed when we went down last time.
-
We were only clear by 2 points before today Yep, the points difference is the same and 2 fewer games for the team currently occupying that spot to get the win that puts us in huge trouble. Hull need to win one of their last two at Spuds and home to Manure. Not impossible but very tough for them. We get a point from each of our last two and they will need to take at least 4 pts from those games, it's difficult to predict end of season games but Hull do seem in a lot of trouble.
-
I agree. It was nice to see us win every week but look at who we were playing ffs. Felt like we were in a alternate universe 9and not a good one) to the PL
-
Hull are favourites now. Though I have a feeling they will get a win at home to Manure for some reason. Beat QPR and we are safe I think. But we aren't a eam that wins games, 2 draws from the last two is the best we can hope for and probably enough.
-
Hull losing could be a killer for them
-
It makes a huge difference man, Sunderland were our best chance of staying up. They are ahead of us now, and we're not likely to win another game this season. We are one point from the bottom three with the worst goal difference. This was on paper a home banker for Everton.
-
Hull is our best chance now, we aren't going to save ouselves.
-
LOL, you couldn't make this shit up could you.
-
Nah he didn't touch him, dived should be booked.

That's a pen at first glance
