Still believe just 35 points is enough to keep is up. Bottom 3 are just too utterly sh*t.
-
Never completely, but I have seemingly lost interest in watching any Prem match on TV, never mind NUFC. Haven't sat through an entire game in months.

GERRINNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Thought more people would be disappointed that Ashley is about to kill the prospect of ever extending the ground stone dead.
-
what about the Gallowgate? That was supposed to be the stand that they wanted to extend right? Wasn't concentrating. Meant Gallowgate.
-
So that's it then. Any future scope for extending the ground is likely dead. 52,000 is essentially the permanent limit. East stand up against listed building, and Gallowgate stand up against high rise student flats - with Ashley pocketing the cash from the land sale (and NCC taking a wee slice too). (edit: Wrong stand!)

What did Bellamy say? -
Everton to get knocked out of Europa League after a 15 game slog by Champs League failures Liverpool - who also play a weakened team? So much potential seethe.
-
Dummet reportedly suffering a knee injury
-
Villa in the relegation zone What love to see those absolute c*nts go down. Would probably be the only worthwhile event of the season.
-
Is it possible that finishing 5th and competing in the Europa League would lower profits rather than increase them? You're unlikely to win it due to Champs League drop outs, the money is sh*te, the games many and the squad and wage bill needed much greater. 11-8th is perhaps the optimal profitability level without ploughing millions into the squad and coaching staff.
-
Not a chance we'll go down IMO. But in two minds on how I want us to perform for the rest of the season. If we're utterly dross and lose a dozen games, that'll just give ammunition to the haters e.g. we're getting what we deserved for 'hounding out a good manager'.
-
Is that in today's Times?
-
It wouldn't be so bad if the second tier of Europe wasn't so devalued, or the FA Cup was still a special occasion.
-
Do people honestly believe Ashley will bring in a manager with ambitions for Europe, to win a cup and strengthen rather than sell each year?

Newcastle 2-1 Chelsea - 6/12/2014 - Post match 'wtf?!' from p. 27

The reaction of Liverpool fans lately. Who fucking fickle eh.

What a delightful weekend of sport this has been
-
What a f*ckin' cretin Millband is. SD is probably one of the few firms where zero-hour contracts are arguably useful to the typical employee e.g. young college/uni students on the shop floor. When I was at Uni 1998-2001) and worked at the Students Union bar , I too was on zero hour contract. Worked great for my circumstances.
-
Who needs cycling and F1 eh
-
Seconded. Largely past caring about internationals and England now. Our players are either mediocre, or I just don't like them. Without F1 or cycling, this essentially feels like a weekend without sport grr

Not worthy of a thread - 2018 FIFA World Cup edition
Turnbull2000 replied to OzzieMandias's topic in Football
So basically, the only party to come under fire from FIFA is the English FA? F*ck me. Wish the FA had the guts to withdraw from Qatar. Sadly, principles are lacking in almost all quarters of football.
