These guys are all stuck in the past. That period when Wenger, Ferguson, Rafa, Mourinho were kind of the initial wave of top managers from abroad and everyone else was still hiring the likes of Pardew, Pulis, Allardyce, Bruce, O'Neil etc are over. That would have been such a huge pull and advantage. Now someone like Iraola is at Bournemouth. If we are able to offer Isak a competitive salary I don't see him pushing to join another Prem club. He's just won a trophy playing in a side that beat Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool on the way there. If he's ever tempted by a club it will be by a Barcelona.

Croatia missed two pens and France let them back In it!
-
Yeah, he was fantastic

What a match up this has been!

Great fight back from Italy. Just short of forcing extra time. Nice double from Moise Kean. Having a fantastic season.
-
Have really enjoyed watching him and Fiorentina this season. Relying on them to win that European Conference League and embarrass Chelsea.

Oh my ... How the times have changed. Manure signing Newcastle reserves now. Cool.

Tuchel said this after the game ... “We will encourage him (Foden) to do what he does best, to go at defenders and go dribbling,” Tuchel added. “We played him today from the right wing. Both of our wingers who started today were not as impactful as they normally can be, as they are in club football. “I am not so sure why we struggled to bring the ball quicker to them, in open positions. I need to review the footage. We lacked runs off the ball, there was too much passing, not enough dribbling and driving and carrying the ball towards goal. Pretty alarming really. Looks like it was the players failing to play with more urgency and decisiveness. I was thinking maybe it was the tactic, as it seemed so deliberate. Seems they just struggle to move the ball better with confidence. Not good.

Gordon has come on and managed to injure himself ....
-
He's certainly been better than Rice in that regard, but still too slow and cautious IMO. Not looked to break the lines enough with any urgency.
-
It is painful. Don't think Rice and Jones are good enough to consistently transition things from the defence to the forward players.
-
Is it a tactical thing? Or are they just playing passively? I can't get my head round how slow and tedious it is. Will be interesting to see how Gordon and Bowen look coming on instead now.
-
Don't think Sheringham was impressed
-
This is still pretty slow and overly cautious build up I think. Too hesitant to play passes between the lines with any urgency.
-
Every game same thing. With some sideways and backwards passes mixed in.
-
I was saying to someone the other day he's a left footed Mason Mount. Finishes well, if someone can get the ball to him in the final third, but doesn't offer much else.

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

The guy used to skip off to Portugal every international break man. Complete and utter piss taker. -

This actually makes me angry even now How many years has he managed now getting paid God knows what. Stealing a living. Remember Jones getting a lot of credit and then they stuck him in the back or something. Absolutely pathetic. -
Yeah, it does seem our scouts tend to be on the right track a lot of the time, and it's something we need to take advantage of.
-
Yeah, but it's those big fee signings that have screwed them over. They hardly ever buy at any kind of decent value. They even managed to overpay massively for unproven players. Due to PSR we'd be even more screwed if we go down that route. I think we need to be more balanced, especially as the squad on the whole needs improving, with European competition now also in play.

Yeah, it's about finding value, which doesn't have to be some teenage kid necessarily. The likes of CHO, Milenkovic, Kluivert, Gomes etc were really good signings of a decent age and experience from different leagues that were good enough and we're signed at really good value.
