  1. Is it just me who finds the whole debt issue a load of bollocks?! He bought the club without doing due diligence so it was HIS fault that he was apparently unaware of debts totaling around £67m. Then, through HIS various fuck-ups (mainly four managers in one season which led to relegation), the debt has spiraled to £130m. He initially had to cover it because HIS investment would have gone down the pan so why should that fat wanker be entitled to claw it back?!
  2. He can do a job on the wings too mate! The photo on the link is why he hates Lennon as he got him sent off! Ha ha! http://www.gateshead-fc.com/5042/gateshead-sign-striker-carl-finnigan Gateshead Sign Striker Carl Finnigan 11/09/2014, by Gateshead FC Gateshead have signed former Newcastle United reserve and academy striker Carl Finnigan until the end of the season. The club are still awaiting international clearance for the 27-year-old, who was released by South African side Chippa United in June. Jarrow-born Finnigan has also enjoyed spells north of the border with Falkirk, St Johnstone and Dundee. Finnigan scored 59 goals in 102 appearances for Newcastle's reserve side but failed to make a first-team appearance before signing for Scottish Premier League club Falkirk in 2007. He found the net 27 times in 128 appearances in four-and-a-half years with the Bairns and joined St Johnstone in 2011. Loaned to Dundee in February 2012, Finnigan scored three goals in five games, and the transfer was made permanent that summer. He moved to South Africa last year and signed for Port-Elizabeth-based side Chippa United following a successful trial before returning to the north east to link up with Gateshead.
  3. Just been on Tyne Tees News; "That's news to me (about Ashley selling) - there's no suggestion or sign at all. He's obviously given us money to spend this summer and his commitment to the club is as strong as it has ever been" Ha ha ha ha! Fuck off!
  4. He's absolutely brilliant. I hope not......... @lee_ryder: Despite reports this morning told that Alan Pardew's job not under any immediate threat at #nufc
  5. A mate of mine has just signed a one year deal – Carl Finnigan. He was on NUFC’s books when younger and had spells at Falkirk and Dundee and was over in South Africa last season! Cracking lad and player and hopefully the full summer of playing 7 a side with us a few times a week has kept him in good shape and nick
  6. Ahaaaa, so Lee Ryder a respected, in-the-know journalist now then?
  7. Edwards was but I think they allowed him back in. I wonder if this is an attempt by the club to quell the anti-Pardew stuff? Nail on head mate!
  8. I hate this s****! It's all down to the humongous increase of media revenue which that fat w***** has ZERO control over! All other revenue streams are down since he bought us! "Newcastle are in excellent financial shape thanks to the prudency of the Ashley regime"
  9. Nice of NUFC to publish an article about it! http://mobile.nufc.co.uk/default.aspx?s=news-display&aid=4133491
  10. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/former-newcastle-united-star-lee-7747354 Lee Clark has revealed that Hatem Ben Arfa showed a courteous and respectful attitude after Birmingham City’s bid to take him to the Championship. The Chronicle reported on August 30 that Blues chief Clark was keen on the playmaker and eager to offer him a spot in his Birmingham XI. But Ben Arfa resisted the move and landed a loan deal to Hull City instead. Clark, though, insisted he was serious about bringing Ben Arfa to the second city. He said: “I contacted (first team coach) Steve Stone to find out about his availability. I then spoke to (managing director) Lee Charnley and asked about Ben Arfa to see if we could do anything. “They came back to say that he wanted to stay in the Premier League but the player appreciated our interest and thanked us for it. “Unfortunately, we couldn’t get that one done either. “But if you don’t ask these questions then you are never going to know.”

TF = True Faith? They banned me from their group for sharing a link to the SackPardew website the other day the daft c***s. Seriously?! I'm one of the several admin on there and I'm surprised at that!

    Andy Cole

What a day this was! The atmosphere was unreal! He was absolutely superb for us!
  14. I agree to an extent but the Cardiff game showed what SJP is capable of. Only the end of the season saved him last year. You can feel the fans are on edge again, another couple of bad results and hopefully that Cardiff game atmosphere will return. I think the feeling amongst fans is a lot worse now that what it was going into the Cardiff game - he's f***ed here! Nearly time for a party!
  15. He's one of the best managers in the Premier League tbh. It's a shame Hull didn't progress in Europe this year because part of me can still see Bruce here one day, and it would be good if he had European experience by that point. As a manager he's done well wherever he has been, apart from the Mackems, which was obviously an horrendous appointment. Took them to their fourth highest finish in 56 years!
  16. Rob Lee: I fear Newcastle United will find themselves in a relegation struggle this season Sep 05, 2014 09:26 Opinion by RobLee Alan Pardew should have taken the same approach to Hatem Ben Arfa that Kevin Keegan took with David Ginola The first thing Kevin Keegan did every morning was to tell David Ginola how much he loved him. He put his arm around the Frenchman and whispered nice things in his ear. Kevin’s reward was that David was absolutely brilliant. Kevin left, Kenny Dalglish came in and he and David just didn’t get on. The next thing we knew was that our enigmatic Frenchman was off because he wasn’t loved. That’s how you handle these players. They need looking after. Their talent has to be caressed. Hatem Ben Arfa is such a player. He and Alan Pardew clearly never got on so that’s why he is now at Hull City and not with ourselves. Newcastle with Pardew in charge were never going to get the best out of the player and that is a real shame, a real waste. I don’t care if his attitude wasn’t always great or the fact he was never going to run back 50 yards to put in a tackle. Ben Arfa should have been told he was loved. I bet that’s what Steve Bruce is doing every morning down at Hull. I think Steve is a fantastic manager. I really do. I wish Pardew and Newcastle would have a look at what he’s built in Humberside and that the penny drops for them. He has bought British players or British-based players. They know the Premier League. They are used to English football. They realise what is expected of them. With the greatest respect to Hull, I don’t see why we didn’t go for the likes of Michael Dawson and Tom Huddleston. These are exactly the type of players Newcastle United should be looking at. The nucleus of Steve’s team is British lads. I will say keep saying this, but it’s the way Newcastle should go. But these players cost a bit of money and we buy cheap, foreign imports who we then sell on for a profit. I am really worried for this season. We are a team that doesn’t look like it has a lot of goals in it with a defence isn’t great. When you put these two factors together then you are only going to go one way and it’s down. I am not even sure we could finish mid-table. I fear we will struggle. We have signed nine players, but two have gone back to Nottingham Forest which I didn’t understand. I don’t know much about Karl Darlow, but I have seen quite a bit of Jamaal Lascelles and he is ready for the Premier League. Of the other seven, only Jack Colback has any Premier League experience. It’s not a great surprise that of all the signings he has started the best, although I have been impressed by Daryl Janmaat. I saw it myself at Newcastle that foreign players take time to get used to English life and the Premier League. Even the best need six months – at times a year – to get used to things. This is a hard league. It’s quick, it’s physical. Yet we are asking some quite young overseas players from, Holland, France, the Spanish second division and Ukraine to get up to speed right away. It just doesn’t happen like that. Emmanuel Riveire has talent. But is he going to score us enough goals? And if not him then who? We got away with it last season because Loic Remy was a consistent goalscorer. We got away with it, just, the season before when Demba Ba and then to an extent Papiss Cisse scored enough goals to keep us up. But if Riveire doesn’t start scoring or gets injured, I can’t see anyone coming into the team who can guarantee goals. And when that happens, you are only asking for trouble. There is no Yohan Cabaye and now Ben Arfa has gone. Is Siem de Jong going to chip in with ten goals? I’m not so sure. Remy Cabella has ability and I believe he will do well once he gets used to things. But he is lightweight, he really needs to beef up, and that’s hardly going to help him score goals and that’s what we desperately need. You might be able to just get away with this if the defence is rock solid, but we have conceded five goals in two home Premier League games. And we have sold a centre-half, leaving us with just three senior central defenders in the squad. Now Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is not my cup of tea but he is a body and we have just let him go without a replacement. Same goes for Ben Arfa. And if there was an injury he could at least come in for a game. Our squad is nowhere close to being strong enough to allow two signings to return to their club and two senior players to leave without them being replaced. In terms of numbers, we are no better than a year ago. There is no equivalent of Cabaye or Remy. Can you blame me for being worried? It’s a good job that in Tim Krul we have a fantastic goalkeeper. I have heard that Pardew is under pressure. But then I’ve been hearing that for 18 months now. I started with Ben Arfa and I’ll end with him. He is going to be brilliant at Hull. He has a manager who trusts him and they are going to get a great season out of the man.

  19. I doubt the wanker has two games left if this is true; http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/sep/02/hull-steve-bruce-hatem-ben-arfa Around the same time Sky Sports News showed pictures of Hatem Ben Arfa leaving Newcastle United’s training ground. The richly gifted, if high-maintenance, France international pointed his car towards the city’s airport but he was merely heading for the nearby upmarket enclaves where many of Alan Pardew’s players live. It seemed Ben Arfa had successfully resisted Pardew’s attempts to off-load him to Besiktas or Birmingham and was probably bound for some shopping at his local Waitrose en route home. Undeterred, Newcastle’s frustrated manager instructed his board to “do whatever it takes” to move on a player he had exiled from all first-team involvement following disputes about long-ball tactics, fitness and work-rate . Soon afterwards a phone rang in Cottingham.
  20. Fingers and bollocks crossed although I'll be pissed off if it happens so soon after HBA was forced out!
