    Kevin Keegan

Happy birthday king / hero! This club now is the polar opposite to when Keegan was with us - no hope, no ambition, no excitement, no aspiration! He's right mind; one day we'll have it back!
  2. 20 league goals since he left us in January 2011 Transfer fees of £50 million Wages of £80,000 per week Meaning he's cost £3.33 million per goal and that is obviously constantly rising right up until August! Jesus!
  3. Out for two months - he's had no luck with injuries at all. Since he left us, this is his league goals record 2 (half season), 4, 7, 2, 5
  4. He gets a lot of unfair stick on here mind (hi Ronaldo )! You can’t deny that he’s fading but he is still by far our best centre half. He’s 33 now so his legs are obviously going to be on their way at the top level and he’s never been a physical unit! It’s not his fault that the idiots who run our club decided to play out the last four months of the season with only two fit recognised centre halves one of which is Mike Williamson! Blame those idiotic wankers and not Colo! He’s the best centre half I’ve seen at NUFC – his prime for us was better than Woodgate’s for me and the fact that he hasn’t been constantly crocked! If only we had these two together at their best as they’ve both had to put up with numerous awful centre half partners!
  5. He's 33 and was never the quickest or most physically centre-back. What do you expect? Not his fault he's in a position where he's the only barely competent centre-half on our books. Correct!

Pleasantly surprised by the away fans' reaction tonight actually. Nice to hear - what's the patter then?
  7. Look at the vine called 'Mike Williamson summed up in 6 seconds'
  8. Alan Pardew has told Newcastle's fans that he "bears no grudge" against them despite their vitriolic campaign to force him out of St James's Park. The 53-year-old Londoner, who quit the Magpies for Crystal Palace at the turn of the year, also told the Toon army: "Let's move on and try and cherish the good days we had together." Speaking ahead of his first meeting with his old club as Crystal Palace boss, Pardew maintained he left Newcastle "with a platform to go to the next level." Describing his programme notes as his first chance to talk directly to the Magpies' supporters since his departure, he said: "It is a great opportunity to reflect on a period that was much-discussed and often unfairly judged in my opinion. "I had a fabulous time as Newcastle manager. We took the team to a fifth placed finish in the Premier League in the 2010/11 season (er - wasn't that the 2011-12 season, Ed?) and it is an achievement that can never be taken away from any of us who were involved in it. "Southampton's push for a top four finish this season is probably the only comparable story in recent years. "If you look at the net spend we had in my time at Newcastle on transfers, you can only conclude it was a successful period because the club I left are established in the Premier League with a platform to go to the next level. "It is a legacy that I am proud to have on my record. "I miss so many of the people at Newcastle, especially my wonderful staff, who were so loyal and committed to me and the club throughout my time in the north east, which isn't easy when the tide of popular opinion has turned against you. "For a variety of reasons, the Newcastle supporters ran out of patience with me as manager of their club. But I can assure each and every one of them who have travelled to Selhurst tonight that I bear no grudge."
