I think pretty much our whole promotion squad was very likeable. It's been the clubs failure to build and move players on at the appropriate time which has led to this situation. The players have hung around as they're getting paid. The inertia has allowed contempt to grow for a lot of these players, when they did the job they were bought to do and did it well. Many of them not fit for purpose now but squad management isn't their job, it's the club.

I don't think Man United see us as much of an existential threat in the same way Spurs, Arsenal etc do. They're massive and will stay that way regardless. I think short term thinking regarding a Champions League place will trump any qualms about loaning to us.
