  1. He’s done media for them in the past iirc. I think his radio stuff probably pays better than a full time media role for the club.
  2. I think if it happens it will be similar to Kulusevski deal at Spurs, loan then purchase.
  3. His English is actually better than some of our English players
  4. Juve are a mess for a myriad of reasons. Allegeri seems incapable of integrating and improving a lot of the younger players. Kulusevski, Vlahovic, Chiesa all have somewhat stalled under him.
  5. Welcome to every Chronicle article written in the past five years
  6. I think Italians not settling in the UK thing is pretty overdone. It’s mainly been due to Serie A being seen as a premium enough league to retain its top domestic players. You could say the same about English players (although we are finally seeing a number move oversea to great effect). Cannavaro has managed in China for like 8 years now, plenty of veteran’s playing all over for their final contracts. He’ll be absolutely fine here.
  7. Tired of this new trend of emotional goodbyes on social media. Azpillceta’s must be about the fifth one this window. Take your money and fuck off lads.
  8. I mean he’s class but he’s definitely not our age profile
  9. Some one got murdered in that house in Vera
  10. Probably take them to a stately home hotel sort of place. Maften or similar or Jesmond Dene house in the city itself.
  11. Do you think the Glazers are serious about the takeover Froggy? It’s always felt to me that they are only interested in walk away money - getting offered vastly over what could be considered a reasonable value for the asset. The Qataris have money to burn but probably aren’t in the business of having the piss took out of them. The whole thing has felt like a non starter from the off.
  12. I mean I agree wholeheartedly although if Man U hadn’t been held back by them they’d probably be on their 36th league title by now
  13. Yep which is why they are low balling Inter for Onana. They’ll have limited funds for a striker otherwise. Interesting to see who they go for as even Hojlund feels like he’ll be prohibitively expensive.
  14. Just feels like an absolute vacuum at the moment in terms of actual links, esp after Maddison and Szobs went elsewhere. Only things in the papers seem speculative at best. No doubt the club working hard. Hoping for Diaby or someone out the blue.
  15. They all want to be the next Lucas Piazon/Kenedey evidently Everyone trying to copy the Madrid model of buying rated Brazilians direct from Brazil basically. Chelsea see something work for another team then copy it with the subtlety of a brick to the face.
  16. I just assumed we’d let him go on holiday given the short amount of down time and high number of games for him last season
  17. It sort of feel that the wedge you make from selling decent youngsters down the league covers you for making these sort of deals, if that makes sense. Chelsea, City, Liverpool etc can pay that little bit extra that prices us out on a domestic player as they can likely sell a youth player for 15m+ who’s never gonna properly break into the team (or perhaps is never intended to). You can tell that’s where we are putting a lot of effort in.
  18. As I’ve said before it’s basically impossible to buy domestically for a reasonable price anymore unless a team is actively looking to sell. May boil over in a few years if players feel they are being blocked in their career progression. Someone like Pacqueta could reasonably expect to play a top tier club at some point in his career but now is at risk of basically being stuck at West Ham unless someone slaps 100m down.
  19. That’s about the going rate if not slightly below, didn’t they sign him him for £17m?
  20. James is injured all the time tbf
  21. Chelsea linked in the Mirror this morning Sigh
  22. Sandro’s a Geordie Sandro’s a Geordie Eats Spaghetti, Drinks Moretti Oh Sandro’s a Geordie
