To me Anderson feels best suited to the left sided 8 position for now. He’s got good feet and passing but lack the explosivity to play LW/LF in this system. Tonali is more of a worry to me so far - he doesn’t really seem to know where he’s supposed to be either in build-up or defensively. I’d probably take Sandro off - move Anderson to LCM and bring on Wilson with Isak going out wide.

Well, we look a bit like PSG did against us. Possession for possession’s sake - static, low tempo and pretty poor concentration. Nothing that can’t be fixed during HT though.

If we can keep it tight until HT we’ll regroup and do them in the 2nd half. Anderson would be better in CM today - get radge Bruno or Sandro off and Wilson on.

He was actually pretty good going forward today and I can’t help but love the man. As I said in the Longstaff thread - he’s all of us if we got the chance to play in the black and white. Sometimes that love for the club and that pure passion can get the better of him but who can fucking blame him? He’s so important and a man mountain.

Fucking love Longstaff. Him and BDB are all of us. He’s got so many excellent attributes and is vital for our ballers to express themselves.

A draw is a good result but fuck me we’ve been absolute shit going forward. And to be honest they have created loads of chances (especially in the first half). I still feel we’re a long way off our levels from last season and haven’t really got going yet this one (nowhere near “Intensity is our identity” and can’t string more than three passes together). Still proud as punch seeing us in the Champions League though. Onwards and upwards!
