  1. When Shola says "More cowbell!", he MEANS it.
  2. Thousands of years ago Shola came across a bear. It was so terrified that it fled north into the arctic. It was also so terrified all of its descendents now have white hair.
  3. Little known medical fact: Shola invented the Caesarean Section when he roundhouse-kicked himself out of his mother's womb.
  4. Shola invented black. In fact, he invented the entire spectrum of light, except pink. Phil Brown invented pink.
  5. Shola can lick his own elbows. At the same time. Archeologists unearthed an old english dictionary dating back to the year 1236. It defined "victim" as "one who has encountered Shola Ameobi". Shola doesn't breathe. He holds air hostage. Shola lost both his legs in a car accident...and still managed to walk it off. Shola once played Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun and won.
  6. I thought that Esajas was the LW and Johnson the RW...
  7. 111,575 Michigan v. Ohio State back in 99
  8. But said club was supposed to still be a Top Division club. If you're referring to Maccas source that is.
  9. Nope he doesn't. But Macca supposed source was said to have left NUFC in the later part of the seventies for a Top Division Club with which he is still involved. Alan Kennedy writes columns on the official Liverpool website so that was the first name that came to my mind. Sounds plausible, and no denial from Macca so you could be right But it still doesn't explain how Alan Kennedy would know what is going on at NUFC. He used to play for Liverpool so he may be getting his info off Terry Mac who he used to play with. As I said, it's only a qualified guess. He was the first that came to mind, don't know which other players went to Top Division clubs that are still involved with them. Long before my time.

Don't know, but the source was supposed to still be involved with the same club he left NUFC for so my money's on Kennedy.

  12. Because I'm a stupid cunt that's been on summer holidays for 6 weeks and therefore haven't spoken to said friend since before the summer.
  13. I remember one of my business friends in the UK saying at the time as well that this Ashley-business will not end well. I'll have to ask him about Moat as well, come to think of it he should probably have some good connections over at Seymour Price as well. I'll have to ask him about that, see if has any information that he's willing to spill the old bugger.
  14. I just wish this could be sorted this week, it's a fucking pain in the arse trying to concentrate on work at the moment with this up in the air.
  15. Sounds about right, but on the other hand he is a good enough right back for this league. As you mention he is weak in the air, but I don't agree with him being weak in the tackle, he's actually had a couple of good tackles and a couple of blocks so far this season. By all means, he's no world-beater but if he can continue to deliver those early crosses as he did for the 2nd on Saturday he's definitely worth the spot IMO. If we'd manage to get promoted though, he should be off.
  16. Yes, but somehow I actually want Ryan Taylor to continue in the RB role, he was actually quite good on saturday and when he does get in a cross they are bloody good. Can't see either Guthrie or Simpson starting tbh.
  17. Barton, Simpson and Guthrie are in the squad for this.
  18. FYP Cheers. What's FYP though? For Your P.... Fixed Your Post
  19. Seems to me like it's far too risky if we were a PL team. If a bank or financial vehicle bought us now for 80-100m and invested say 20-30m in the team we would most likely get promoted without a shadow of a doubt. They would then be able to make a healthy profit as soon as next summer or probably an even bigger one if they continued to pump money into the club for another season to get us in to the Top 8.
