I've seen him do that 3 times this season. One of the reason's both Hughton and Pardew put him out wide is his complete lack of strength and ability to keep the ball in tight situations.
He's pretty crap at winning the ball back.
Barton contributes nothing defensively. He did at one time, but he's a completely different player now.
He's a good passer and crosser of the ball, that's all.
Always somebody else's fault that he didn't score in his last 12 games. Martins, AC and even Lovenkrands managed to get a few in that time. Twas only he that struggled.
If Martins failed, it's because his brain power couldn't quite handle the faster pace and generally more unpredictable dynamic of the English game. Not that I think he failed.
Gameiro is different.

I managed 5. All of those players earn a similar amount and contribute far less. They should be higher up on your lovely list than Jonas.
You could even argue that Barton is more expendable, give than he's in the final year of his contract, older and far less versatile.
Yup. Drogba shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Ronaldo (the), Messi and Maradona.
Nobody did, though. You pick the best players you've seen in your lifetime. The best two strikers i've seen are Ronaldo and Drogba - who narrowly gets the nod over Henry.
