I'd rather Gazza manage us than this prick.

Nolan will be back, mate. Barton looks likely to figure.

Up All Night is the only show really worth listening to on 5 Live. Perhaps even the only excuse to own a radio, cept for Bunce's Boxing Hour. TalkSport is funny, if nowt else. Drivetime in particular; a retard and a puppet going at it for 4 hours, great fun.

The first person who mentions Shearer should be made to go for a quick swim in Sharm-el-sheikh.

Come on, we're all pissed off the day's events. Bit of positivity.

Yeah I really enjoy the area to really just chill out, because there's not much more you can do tbh. It's the perfect beach+drink+book kind of place. Food, man. The restaurants on 5th are incredible. The beach is f***ing heavenly. I'm taking the lass back in either February and March. Probably venture up to your neck of the woods at some point, too. I think I've probably said it before but let me know when you're in town if you fancy meeting up for a pint or two. Although I know you have a mystery to keep on the boards. And also, I'm sure there's a restaurant with an awesome crunchy grouper sandwich, which are amazing. Tommy Bahamas, by any chance? Best live music in Naples, best steak, too. We'll have a pint this spring, though. It's a promise.

What does that even mean? I enjoyed the place, nice people and culture. However the city itself is a bit minging. You're thinking of the hellhole in Italy, surely?

I go to Naples every summer, love it. Easily my favourite place on earth. My skin loves it, too.

What? That was the main game on FSC that day. Wasn't on in a single pub. No football whatsoever. Might've been on too early for the pubs, who knows. We're not the best nation for trying to catch football in a pub but a lot of pubs actually do try. I've found a few that will open up when the first match starts, but they usually can't sell booze until like 11 or so depending on which state/county it's in. Took 15 minutes of convincing for Paddy Murphy's in Naples to put the Croatia - England (Walcott) game on in Sep 08, the locals didn't have a clue what was going on.

That he wasn't the answer long term? Most will agree. Maybe not today, but eventually. That our results on the pitch in his one and a half season in charge somehow merited him being sacked by these classless clueless bastards in charge of our club.. See, where did I say the sacking was merited? I've said countless times that it was premature, but understandable to a degree. Same difference.. Only if you're simple.

You managed to see the Everton game? I went to just about every fucking bar in the south of Florida to find it. Couldn't.

I'd like to do that, what address would you send it to? His driving licence is registered to an address in Potters Bar.

So what does that say for the likes of Wenger, Moyes, Bruce and Ancelotti who couldn't outwit some tactically naive manager? Play that card is a bad idea, there are plenty more that suggest the opposite, and you know it.
-
The home results have been fairly consistent. 2 big wins, a decent draw and 5 poor results against teams likely to finish in the bottom half.

We'd not have been 0-1 down, for a start. Look in the Blackpool match thread for the damning criticism of Hughton before you accuse me of having an isolated opinion. He got it wrong, shockingly wrong.
-
Against Man City we pissed away a point by camping in our own half. Regardless of the opposition, he got it wrong that day. He doesn't deserve heavy criticism as such. But to add it to his list of accomplishments is even more ridiculous. We have 5 games out of 16 in which he looked somewhat tactically astute.

In the last 4 months, Carroll has given every indication that he belongs and will excel at this level. Aye, my point exactly. In the recent past he was deemed not good enough, or too inexperienced for this league and the one below us. Hughton's had 16 games, man. He's looked up to it in about 4. We can't afford to continue to piss away points. I'd personally have given him another month or so, by the way. Four games? What the hell are you on about? Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton, Sunderland, Villa, West Ham...in which of those wasn't he 'up to it'? I said 'about 4'. Got it spot-on against WH, Arsenal, Sunderland, Villa and Everton, certainly.

What do you think this squad is capable of if we had the best manager in the world? Beating Blackpool and Wigan.
