it sounds like a good tactic tbh
-
you had Sheff Utd to draw against Ipswich?
-
That you've probably heard of: Tony Blair and Sting. Although neither are what you'd call fanatics.
-
The big 4, City, Spurs, Villa and Everton are going nowhere man Under Ashley or Moat we'll never break the top 8, to do that would require genuine financial clout. Everton's turnover can't be much more less than ours and they have a very, very good team in place. If we get promoted we'll have to build from scratch, under Moat or Ashley we can expect 12th at absolute best.
-
More then we spent under Ashley and with a £72m wage bill crippling the clubs finances yes, nowt to do with Moat or how things should be next season IF we do go up. If Fulham and Everton can get their with far less financial clout then us why should we think it unreachable? things have changed, Man City will be part of the top 8 obviously With Ashley or Moat we most certainly wont have more clout than Everton
-
More than us We're lightyears behind Spurs, City, Everton and Villa.
-
We're winning games and to a certain extent we've lost the players who made a mockery of the club, things are going in the right direction. The top 8 is unreachable, and will be until we bypass the likes of Ashley and Moat. Relegation could easily turn out to be the best thing for the club in the long-term.

I've sat the last few days out I really hate betting when i'm not completely familiar with the teams

If we win the next 2 games, we're basically a third of the way to promotion -

Doesn't change the fact this a blow

You're missing the point here, it's another excuse to put Butt in the first Xl

Harper Geremi Taylor Khiz Enrique Guthrie Smith Nolan Jonas Carroll Harewood never happen in a million years, but I don't care because I know best -
The thing is, Barton is more difficult to drop than Guthrie. We all know who'll be the likely winner when it comes down to a straight decision between Nicky 'EnglandManUchampsleagueveryveryexperiencedhead' Butt and Danny Guthrie
-
He does when he gives the ball away endlessly, as he does.. ......not nearly as often as Butt
-
Barton doesn't actively make the team worse
-
We'll fucking notice it when Butt's on the pitch instead
-
I'd love to see Raj Sing pay a visit to the likes of Seaham. Something tells me he wouldn't be quite so quick to endorse Sunderland as a stage for the international community

Shearer was never as good after 96-97, never came close in fact. The Shearer of that season was absolutely world class as a goalscorer and footballer.
-
It's after 10AM on a Tuesday mate, i'm allowed some fun once in a while
-
If Hughton gets us promoted, why would you sack him and give Shearer the job in the summer?
-
The goal he scored that day was superb. Remember a free-kick from that season (Coventry maybe?) where Shearer ran over the free-kick, Hamann thumped the hardest free-kick I've ever seen which just bounced off the keepers chest, into the onrunning Shearer's path to tap-in. Actually that 20+ goal season was under Gullit, but was predominantly Keegan/Dalglish's side. 20+? I thought he hit 14 under Gullit 21 in 40 appearances. ah right, must have just been league games
