  1. ask Keegan and Allardyce. Keegan had Owen arriving late in the box so that pretty much nullified Barton's chances. He was playing a bit like Gattuso under Keegan tbh, covering out wide then dropping inside when we had the ball. Under Allardyce, fuck knows. The entire team seemed withdrawn and lacking fluidity
  2. Keegan and Allardyce played Barton in a withdrawn role

    RIP sale thread.

Ah yes the Man Utd to Chelsea to Newcastle in the Championship move? I'm sure he'll be up for that. Juan Seba Veron next
  4. Ronaldo

    Marlon Harewood

The bad side is somebody will need to pass to him and we dont create much at present. somebody also needs to pass to Carroll/Ranger. Harewood will able to do more with the ball than those two tbh not of criticism of Ranger who's clearly a better natural footballer than Carroll, but not quite ready for the deep end just yet
  5. he'll do very well in the championship imo, all in all great cover. Now lets get another 2 in

    Marlon Harewood

he'd be a very good signing imo
  7. Time will tell, but 8th is where I think they'll end up this season

    PROMOTIONOMETER

perhaps, but the only real evidence of that is the Reading game
  9. Villa weren't at the stage they are now when they signed him. I also believe it would be a good season for Villa if they managed to reach the Europa League spots again. In my opinion, Milner should be a definite starter in the current Aston Villa side. they finished 6th the season before they got him I saw no real improvement from them overall last season although they did have an excellent spell when they really got the rub of the green early-mid season
  10. He looked an average at best player for us and has since started looking like a good player. By no means is he the answer for a club for top 4 aspirations though, and never will be

    PROMOTIONOMETER

Why? All three teams have five wins, West Brom have one more draw then us but have had an easier run. Its clearly almost impossible to split us at the moment and that's while we've consistently had 4 first teamers missing. Boro and Brom attack a lot better than we do. We could easily have come away with draws in the games against Cardiff, Leciester and to a lesser extent Sheff Wed.
  12. not really, he's very slow for a winger
  13. we also have that in central midfield. Problem is, the wrong players are being played there
  14. There's not a lot between them but in our current situatuon i'd easily prefer Jonas, his pace is invaluable
  15. what an absolute load of nonsense
  16. Harper Simpson Taylor Coloccini Enrique Geremi Barton Smith Guthrie Lovenkrands Carroll not a chance in hell, but that team would crush Plymouth. Nolan, R Taylor and Butt nowhere fucking near
  17. 2-3? What exactly did he do for us?
  18. personally i think we lost the league because overall man utd were slightly the better team. as man utd were going off on their run we were stuttering even at home. winning but not looking anyway near convincing (particularly against the likes of bolton and QPR) and that form was played out through quite a bit of the rest of the season. liverpool away was probably about the best we played in the last 3 or 4 months of the season. West Ham at home, by far
  19. It's going to damage the lad if it continues, like poor Jon Dahl Thomasen a few years back - but look what he went on to do. clearly didn't damage him then eh
  20. Lovenkrands up front please, lets have a footballer there for a change
