  1. Bale and Pavlyuchenko Bale for the LW would be great, hope Dos Santos joins him
  2. Simpson is far too short and slight to play CB, surely. It'll be Butt in the middle imo
  3. Ronaldo

    RIP sale thread.

None of those have been particularly good in our shirt. Do you not think they'll be key to us in getting out of the championship, regardless of sketchy performances in the past?
  4. Ronaldo

    RIP sale thread.

like that'll happen in 4 days man
  5. When did I mention Kadar? I'm just not confident that he's anywhere near ready for the first team based on what I've seen in the reserves (2 games tbf) what I saw against Orient and the horrific scoreline against Leeds

    RIP sale thread.

If Moat buying the club requires Barton, Jonas and Coloccini to be sold, I can't express just how much I dont want him anywhere near
  7. It makes no sense to play Geremi, Butt and Nolan tonight. We all know what they provide, especially in Butt's case For league games, I have no problem with Geremi being tried on the wing tbh, he's the absolute opposite to Jonas
  8. Geremi, Nolan and Butt in the side Vukic on the bench and Xisco nowhere in sight
  9. Which post did I edit? FFS, Sir Bob was sacked by PSV and Sporting, I was just typing fact you blithering nonce
  10. I'd love to add up all the games i've been to and use it as some sort of curency on here, too humble to do that though. It's roughly about 550 I think
  11. I think you're confused mate, or pissed. I wasn't trying to convey any point here. I was simply correcting Hobbs who'd forgotten to include Robson's PSV and Sporting dismissals dishonest, shut-up man
  12. Lescott is nowhere near the level of Rio. not yet he's not, But he's only just turned 27. Rio has improved a fair bit since he was 27

Money everytime, Moat hasn't anywhere near enough judging by the (non)events of the last 2 weeks
  14. hows that ? we didn't have the money to provide what he wanted,he walked. why couldn't he cut his cloth like the every other manager has to ? how,-- gratuitous indulging in Keegan bashing, then he returns , we are good,= they are twats. come on you understand this. it doesn't matter who the person is i'll slag them off when they do something to be slagged off for and applaud accordingly when they deserve it. i'll not defend someone to the hilt without evidence especially if i know they have previous. Praise the lord, sense at last. What's Keegan done he should be slagged off for though? Yeah, yeah he should've stayed with a lopsided squad when his pleas were going unheard. - Walked out on Newcastle, had to be persuaded to return - Walked out on Newcastle again - Walked out on Fulham - Walked out on England - Walked out on Manchester City - Walked out on Newcastle again. Regardless of what he has achieved, we can't just ignore the above. Bobby Robson - Sacked at Fulham Sacked at Barcelona Sacked at Newcastle Regardless, still one of the greatest. Sacked at Sporting Lisbon Sacked at PSV Do you cretins know the difference between walking out on a club and getting sacked by one? what's your point? If you're looking for an arugment, I was just correcting Hobs, who to be honest makes a perfectly good point.
  15. Us Brom Cardiff Arsenal Fiorentina Olympiacos Spurs Stoke Bristol City £1.60 gets a £64.50 return, which is pretty shite but fuck it
  16. It's an odd one. Even voicing the opinion that I love Keegan but feel he's partially to blame for the current situation seems to illicit dodgy looks in the pub and at the game. I know of a fair few fights that have broken out at Away games because of the divided opinion.

the thing is, the last thing we need is another armchair football fan from the UK. Oh yeah, I forgot that you think you can't be a real fan unless you actually go the matches. I'd rather Newcastle be doing well as opposed to worrying about "armchair" fans. I think you've misread my point somehow matey. We're in this position because of a bloke who probably watched MOTD once a fortnight and compounded with his arrogance, thought he knew how to own and run a football club, when clearly he didn't have the first f***ing clue. In an ideal world the new owner will have a passion for football, fair enough. But more importantly be willing to defer completely to the experts instead of relying on armchair knowledge to construct (what Ashley considered) an ideal structure.
  18. Terry-Rio is our best partnership by an absolute mile, don't get me wrong. When it mattered most, they were very solid for us in WC06 and have generally looked a good partership Terry isn't really a natural athlete though and probably wont be up to it in 3 years, Rio is 2 years older but is pretty bang on physically, despite the injuries that are creeping in.

  20. Lescott will go down the route of Rio Ferdinand now and basically never get the credit he deserves. He'll never live up to price tag because he doesn't have a flashy method of defending and will likely turn into the man at the back who does his job while the superstars win the game. I'd probably put a decent amount of money on him starting for England in 2012 though. Really cant decide if he'll replace Terry or Ferdinand like
  21. an example of me doing that please? before you mention Owen, half of this board want the lad to break both legs in the near future. Forgive me if I saw that he was giving the team basically NOTHING a good few months before the majority realised it.
  22. I said at the Weekend that I wanted Krul to play. I want him to develop as player as much as anyone else. More than most on this board judging by the "if Taylor goes, that'll be me" and "why am I even watching this" comments that have been appearing with more frequency since May. I said that he wasn't ready to be our no.1 keeper and that Harper was clearly our best bet in the short-term between the posts. What exactly is wrong with that assertion? Harper has been solid as a rock since WBA
  23. Lescott is an absolute class act. Man City have overpaid but compared to £25m for Adebayorwife, £32m for Robinho and £16m for Toure this represents not quite horrific business. He's probably the difference between 5th and 4th
