14 seconds he just looks gormless.
-
we wont beat Fulham they way they're playing, no chance
-
IF we beat Boro, i'll be confident of us staying up tbh
-
WBA will finish on 34 at best man, if we cant get to that points tally then we're down anyway
-
Rodallega scored a goal? bullshit surely
-
Harsh on Hughton imo. The fact that KK came out and said Chris was his first choice no.2 would indicate he has some ability. in making tea
-
Butt is absolutely woeful, pissed me off no end when Kinnear said a while back "for me he's brilliant" and what pisses me off even more is that the f***ing media think he's our best player and we love him.
-
So Llambias was confident Kinnear would return yet after 5 games and 2 points he's changed his mind? Wankers, honestly. Not that this isn't good news
-
I have a bit on a Sunderland and Hull double to soften the blow of certain relegation
-
fair play, league winners medal
-
Cant be bothered posting all my accumulators because I have about 6 on this weekend, 5 with basically £2-3 on for returns of £400 plus, i'll post if one of them comes off have a stupid amount of money on a Liverpool and Man U double, for which I got odds of 7/5

You're dragging Hughton into an argument that I haven't mentioned him in. It's just the idea that Spped will be a good coach just because he played here that I don't understand. Being a good person or a good player doesn't make you a good manager or coach. I wasn't dragging that into the arguement with you to be honest, I was justifying my reasons for having Speed there instead of members of the current setup in response to Yorkie Speed wasn't just a very good footballer though, he made the absolute best of his talent. Surely this is the type of person we want working with our players?
-
None of that means he'll naturally make a good coach. As I said all he's being judged on is the fact that he played here. it isn't just that though, or else people would be suggesting Steve Howey for coach the same applies to big Al, none of what he achieved guarentees he'll do anything as a manager, but at least with Shearer and Speed the ingredients are there
-
In Shearer, Speed and Dowie you at least have 3 good people, 2 of which played at the highest level and obviously have leadership potential. Hughton doesn't, no matter how many badges he had his mother sew onto his tracksuit
-
he's 40 in spetember and still playing. The fact he was replaced with Nicky Butt is a fucking insult to all concerned
-
Speed, for those old enough to remeber spent 6 years here, and was a model professional throughout. He has a premiership winners medal, captained us in the champions league and premiership when Shearer was absent and to this day obviously commands respect from players and managers alike. Not to mention his fantastic inury record and oft spoken of personal fitness routine. Does Chris Hughton measure up to any of that?
-
that's him, black beemer isn't it, parks 3 spaces away from me at the match
-
Hughton seems to be a more than adequate coach to be fair, he clearly works very hard. He was s*** as a manager but that's simply because he is not one. Can't really see what Calderwood has brough mind and obviously want Kinnear out, like. I don't rate Hughton at all, he just seems to be a body that ambles around. I'd approach Speed if I was Shearer. Apart from because he played for us, why? He's got more about him than most, know his fitness, knows the game

The whole Smith thing is an illusion. In reality, he's done f*** all since he came back other than a few decent passes in the Spurs game, some dodgy tackles in the Liverpool and Pompey games and a few strikes from outside the box which have flown over the bar. It's gotta be Guthrie, no question. Don't like Smith at all, he's a hopeless footballer. Such is his limitations, he kept things very simple against Portsmouth and kept the ball. I hate the whole graft-over-quality criteria, but at a time where we struggle to string two passes together, Smith was a better asset to the side in that game and kept his place on merit over Guthrie. I wouldn't be sad to see him dropped, but at the time - keeping him in over Guthrie for Pompey/Liverpool was the right decision imo. indeed, since our midfield was shite in both games
-
Do you think Smith is the better player? As for Butt, i'm not even going to bother, he's been absolutely pathetic all season
-
has he fuck, he's left Guthrie and Jonas out for the likes of Butt and Smith
-
6 points probably not enough? Hull are going to get 38 are they? wise up
-
Harps Beye Colo Bassong S Taylor Geremi Guthrie Owen Jonas Carroll Viduka Martins on for the last 30, cant be started with his injury imo
-
truth be told, weighing up their fixtures it's a little optermistic of me to expect them to finish on 35
-
oh aye, balls to have a go at the easy targets like Enrique and Xisco whilst lauding the likes of Owen, But and Shola (the latter he claimed he was going to build the team around) no balls, no clue. Terrible, terrible appointment
