'typical' Ronaldo who's been hitting the wall all season
-
nobody in their right mind would want to partner Owen up front either tbh
-
of course you're not
-
very good post

aye

Not that I disagree about his decline, but I can't work out what stat or year you maybe meant there (because he got a few Prem away goals in 05) sorry, my fault. It was 2004 in which he failed to score away from home in the premiership
-
The Uefa cup will always be looked down upon while the 3rd placed teams from the Champs League get a free ticket horrible tournament tbh, horrible format, horrible teams, incredibly amateurish coverage
-
Shearer, just. But the fact he didn't manage a single premiership away goal in 2005 speaks volumes about his decline. Owen brings the entire club morale down, Shearer to some extent kept it up, which is why he gets the nod.

It's gotta be so easy to pull girls as a footballer. ...Not for everyone http://img.skysports.com/08/01/218x298/Petera_Ramage_625679.jpg http://www.facebook.com/s.php?ref=search&init=q&q=peter+ramage&sid=2301e3e2578f1e1332a2c20db7436908#/group.php?sid=2301e3e2578f1e1332a2c20db7436908&gid=41360052065 QPR fans love him. mackems.gif Still can't believe we stayed when he was our best central defender AND best right back for nearly half the season. and in which universe did this occur? The Universe where Huntingdon as our second best defender when everyone was knackered, back 4 was something like - Carr Ramage Edgar Huntigdon. To be fair we should have went down with that backline, League 2 at best overall. that may have been roughly our backline for 3 games max, not half the fucking season man, honestly

either him of Enrique tbh in regard to the future

In midfield, yes. But the really depressing thing is how predictable this was. Anyone with any sense could see this coming in August. It isn't as if we signed a bunch of midfield stars and they turned out to be s*** or broke their legs. In June we knew that Butt & Geremi were not going to hack it in this league and we knew that Barton's off the field issues (as in, being in prison all summer and likely to be suspended) were going to be a big factor. And the guys in charge decided to sign Danny Guthrie. Which is not to say he isn't a OK player, but when you sign a player from the bottom 5 or 6 (I'm considering him a Bolton player since he didn't really play regularly for Liverpool) then you can hardly expect this to improve the squad. If I could ask Dennis Wise one question, it would be that. Why did we go into the season with our central midfield options being 2 old age pensioners, Danny Guthrie and a bloke in prison for attacking teenagers in a McDonalds? Exactly when did he realize that he might have made a mistake? it's probably the most potent question to be posed tbh. I asked it several times in the summer and was laughed off and reassured we'd get more bodies in

Xisco joins Deportivo on loan until the end of the season
Ronaldo replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
Jonas Guthrie? Barton Vuckic Xisco Martins Nailed on in 3 years time -
I'd love to see Xisco and Oba but it isn't going to happen till next season. Viduka is realistically the only decent option to play with Martins until Owen gets back
-
Geremi, because I dont despise him quite as much as Butt or Smith

If Grant is the bees knees, dog's bollocks, your chocolate lollipop, the gold pot at the end of the rainbow, and Jah's gift to football management, how comes he's out of a f***ing job then? The Chelsea squad were behind their own near-success. They got to where they did despite of Grant, and not because of him. Did I say any of the above? I said he'd be a great option, considering we have nobody at the club capable of managing a premiership club, and he clearly is
-
both above points are complete speculation btw, nothing to substanciate them whatsoever
-
Drogba missed half the season, Lampard was far from his brilliant best, quite remarkable that Grant got them to within a kick of being the champions of Europe. Their football also was pretty damn good to watch btw
-
From the day Grant got the job onwards, he accumulated more points than a Man U team many rank as the best they've seen in world football for years. Hell of an achievment tbh
-
Kinnear is a "proven" Premiership manager. Grant is a manager who had one of the world's best squads at his disposal. I'd honestly rather keep Kinnear than try Grant. you're off your fucking head mate. The only thing Kinnear has "proved" in the premiership in the last decade is that he's statistically nufc's worst ever manager bar Ardilles
-
You look at the performances of the likes of Drogba, Ballack, Terry and Cech in particular in comparison with last season and a pretty telling picture is formed.
-
with Oba in the team there's always a chance, the Man U and Villa games are ample evidence of that
