aye Drogba's where my money is for top scorer. Up until the african nations cup he had a record of a goal every game for Chelsea last season
-
It's plain to see that central midfield is our Achilles heel. I don't know much about Guthrie, so I can't comment, but surely Keegan will be bringing a central midfielder in before the deadline. Let's wait and see who else arrives before arguing about whether Butt is shitter than Geremi. all well and good but the premiership season starts for us on Sunday
-
speaking of wingers, where did the likes of Laurent Robert go? the out and wingers who would spend 80% of the game not involved in the slightest
-
Chelsea to win the league and champions league 2 Man U 3 Arsenal 4 Liverpool Fulham, Stoke, Hull to go down
-
you consider Milner and Jonas genuine wingers? because i'd say both are wide midfielders tbh
-
at what odds ? i'd only bet that much on chelsea if i could also cross bet with man utd to make a profit. 13/8 You'd probably win the same amount by simply putting £300 on Chelsea to beat Portsmouth this weekend. Of course it's a much bigger outlay, but less risky. i'd have to stake £460 to win the same amount tbh, not really less risky tbh, especially considering Portsmouth's defensive steel and unpredictability
-
I'm not a big Geremi fan but he played a part in our good form from April onwards. Butt's just a liability man
-

Plus I will NEVER EVER back Man U
-
Nope he's perfectly fit which doesn't change anything. it changes the fact that Nicky Butt should be anywhere near the team
-
is Geremi injured or something? nobody seems keen on him starting ahead of Butt, with the exception of yours truly

I agree with you, just a couple of pieces still missing imo, and as you say we have 4 really good wingers, thats where we are strongest i think.. except one is incosistent, one is awfully average, one has been poor for 3 seasons and the other is untried in the prem that said, I like the look of Jonas a lot and Duff has the potential to do well for us this season
-
be nothing short of a massive fucking joke if he starts
-
It's funny that very few of the players linked with English clubs (and us in particular) seem to have actually moved, or indeed gone elsewhere. Inler, Gomis, Arda, Derdiyok, Arshavin etc are all just as available now as they were a month or two ago. maybe they're all as sewn up as Coloccini was a week ago and the club are just waiting to confirm all 5
-
me neither, was at the game but too pissed to remember it
-
what i wouldn't give for us to bring in 4 quality players before Sep and and shut the c***s up. The clubs who suddenly think they're a league above us, Everton, Man f***ing City, Spurs, Blackburn, even Pompey and their line of spitting arseholes
-
Harps BEAR Coloccini Cacapa Enrique Jonas Geremi Guthrie N'zogbia Martins Duff
-
that's like the lead in to a bernard manning joke! do me a favour and try to continue it
-
you'd hope so, because i have no confidence whatsoever in Taylor or Edgar
-
might stick £100 on Chelsea for the league, very confident it's their season tbh
-
have Juve confirmed this then?
-
Bad memories. He actually had a decent game in that one. It was also the first time Boumsong totally crumbled. Didn't he scored a goal early on which was ruled offside even though he was miles onside? As I remember it he was miles off. He was miles onside in fact. nah, he had a good game but was offside, clearly
-
You like to be a bit dramatic don't you. How the hell do we need two more CBs? Colo, Taylor, Cacapa, Bassong, Edgar? well 2 have never played in the premiership, one is 20 and clearly way out of his depth in the premiership, one is getting old and the other is imo a poor defender at this level Coloccini is fantastic, but there is nobody up to the job of partnering him or replacing him if injured You spent the majority of last season telling everyone how good Cacapa was, now you're saying he's not up to the job of filling in?! Faye's gone and he needs replacing but people on here go way over the top. I have always maintained that I like Cacapa, but he isn't the right player to partner Coloccini. Faye was a good partner for him

you were adamant he was a fat b****** the other day Correct. And I'm delighted to say that I was totally, completely and utterly wrong. I assumed he'd return looking as fat as he ended last season but I was wrong. He's lost an awful lot of weight and i hope he plays better and is sharper for it. That ok for you? I was only ribbing to be honest mate
