  1. Nope, can't do retrospectives like that, got to nail your nuts to the mast now. If he comes good it'll represent sheer good luck. He's an aging cast-off with a very poor record at international and top club level. Nothing to suggest he'll succeed in the PL. If he comes good it won't have anything to do with luck at all. Finding success (and subsequently staying up) in a loanee who has no track record of scoring goals at any decent level in his late 20s instead of going out there and signing a proven goalscorer is just about the definition of luck. We're relying on pure chance.

  3. Yep. It would drive home the biggest pisstake of the Ashley era. The utterly woeful approach to appointing coaching staff and identifying/addressing on-field deficiencies.
  4. Impressed with you, man. Well said.
  5. So, no defenders, no strikers and you aren't convinced by the midfielders yet you'd say 6.5 for the window? Honestly man, you're just a fucking parody.
  6. He's making a valid point to be fair. Noone was expecting 4 signings. Yeah we should have signed a defender but we didnt. Aye, remind us of how much better Steven Taylor is than John Terry. We've still got an utterly woeful spine. It's indefensible.
  7. 54 weirdo still defending the lack of a striker and CB. Change the record, man.
  8. Looking forward to bumping into Pep for a pint in Alderley, mind.
  9. Christ. If that guy's younger than me I've got a bridge to sell you.
  10. You don't get out much at all, do you?
  11. Tell that to the two centre mids and the left winger we've signed, as well as the potential striker we are probably going to sign. You're worse than Ian W and Brett were, man. Pitiful stuff.
  12. Gomis is poor, man. Rather just persevere with Mitrovic, Perez and de Jong than waste time with the likes of him.
  13. Janmaat's obviously a much bigger/better personality too, like. Goes a long way.
  14. Santon was kind of the opposite to Dummett. A talented footballer and athlete who was consistently at fault for goals and didn't seem to learn from his mistakes. Didn't really do enough going forward either, mind. I liked him, though.
  15. And a winger and a left back. Those are the 3 main on-field reasons we're 18th. The 3 most important positions on the field and we are/were lacking serious quality in all of them.
  16. As usual, Ian, you like to absolve the club of all blame for such a predicament.
  17. Who you kidding, man? If he signs he'll play maybe 5 games and never be seen again after May.
  18. We needed a proven goalscorer, a proper CB and a physically decent CM with creative ability. We've got 1 out of 3.
  19. Is this sarcasm? Anyone with half a brain would prefer Remy.
  20. Imagine leaving Atletico only to be behind Dummett in the pecking order. This Douglas guy's sometimes as bad as his bald colleague. Douglas is right, though. No way an obscure loan signing is going to be picked ahead of Dummett.
  21. Is he tweeting his bar/restaurant bills from Miami again?
