Eddie said it in the presser yesterday tbh. A lot of players have been unsettled or words similar. The politician that he is, he wouldn’t have said that for nothing.
-
It most certainly is a shambles that Dubravka is still our number 2 keeper, mind. Absolutely no excusing the failure to address that and I’ve no idea why some are trying to.
-
We managed to sign 2 keepers and retain another who are all actually worse, which is an achievement in itself. Amateur hour.

Eddie Howe - Admitted to Hospital; To miss Man United (H)
Ronaldo replied to InspectorCoarse's topic in Football
He also said a lot of players had been unsettled this summer, and part of the reason for the difficult window has been the changing structure of the club. He’s very skilfully put a positive slant on an absolute mess of a situation. -
Do you work for the club?
-
The source is completely irrelevant at this point. But yes, I don’t think Hope is fabricating. I think he gets the vast majority of his insights from someone within the club.
-
Nothing to do with the source. We have a day left of the window and we haven’t signed a CB. It’s the only theory that works.
-
At this point it’s probably slightly more mental to believe the opposite.
-
Hope has contacts inside the club so that’s likely where that’s come from. I’d be more worried that the club are putting it out there tbh.
-
Not in real terms, no. Our backup striker is 2 years older, slower and injured for one. Trippier has deteriorated, naturally. Almiron’s form from that season is long gone. Botman out half the season… I certainly don’t think we’re as strong all things considered.
-
I’m trying to hold on to some hope about this whole thing but a decent season won’t keep Bruno, Isak, Gordon here. I think we need to be a bit more realistic about what players of that calibre want.
-
We’ve got 2 days left to make transfers that have been imperative since before last season ended. There’s a lot of blame to be assigned.
-
By contrast, the best windows I can think of, summer 1995, 2001, 2022 caused a massive uplift which reflected on huge improvements in league position.
-
I hate to think of how far the club has to fall for us to want him back.
-
We won, I’m happy about that. We just play one way and it’s far too predictable now. Fortunate to play against 3 very poor attacks so far.
-
Always has been.

First time passes though

We miss Schar hugely mind. The ball is like a hot potato in the final third with this lot and Forest know it. Not enough threat down the left for me. Isak isolated and frustrated.
-
You’d think any club looking at his stats would move on to the next potential target pretty quickly, sadly.
-
If that. It’s a joke, sitting behind a deep, rigid midfield against Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia and doing OK makes him the English Nesta. Seen a few weird comments about him being England’s best central defender in years. Based on what?
-
How much would he be worth without those England games at the Euros I wonder, genuinely.
-
Don’t know how it’s disrespectful to point about they’re not good enough in the context of where we need to be to keep our best players and keep the project moving forward, mind. They’re both basically model professionals and no one has said otherwise.
-
I think we have a good defence though Dubravka did his best to make it look poor last season. I saw a very frustrated Isak Sunday due to players around him just being way below his level. It’s not the way to keep our best players.

Last time that happened it was the summer of 2008 when she asked Keegan about the club’s transfer business and got a surly, telling response.
