Admittedly I was watching 2 screens but Man U were really good. All over them from the start.

In incredibly key circumstances we desperately needed a goal against the 13th best side in the league and couldn’t get it. That game really could and should have ruined our season but fortunately we’ve got away with it. We desperately need a backup striker, starting winger and central midfielder who can unlock a door. I’m sure Eddie knows that.
-
He’s an absolute winner. Won’t stand for a drop in standards from those around him. We lost today but his performance was a perfect example of why he’s played more football than anyone else since Eddie came in. That and the fact he’s virtually always fit and available.
-
Jesus. Forest’s dip in form saved us big time didn’t it. They needed 10 points from their last 8 games to do it. They must be seething.
-
Since Isak’s been our starter he’s done anything but thrived. Ba was terrific first half of 12-13 with Cisse there.
-
I think it’s clear Isak is better after what he’s been done past couple of seasons. I’d put Wilson at 3 now behind Isak and Ba since Shearer retired. As I said, good striker. I don’t get the hero worship though. Every one on us wished he’d been replaced a long time ago.
-
That, and Ba was literally better at everything. I wish him no ill will but it amazes me how he’s spoken about it times. We’ve needed Wilson this season and we’re very, very fortunate we’ve got away with it.
-
The unprecedented 14 goals he scored while Ashley was owner put Ba’s 29 under Pardew to shame.
-
Isak, Shearer, Ferdinand, Ba all different level.
-
Not sure 49 goals in total, 47 in the league in 5 years is quite worthy of the status some would afford him but he’s been a good striker for us, no question. Right time for him to leave and wish him the best.

Was concentrating more on Man U last 20 mins. We were never going to score. We’re absolutely shit against teams like that and have been all season. Nice reminder of how much we need to invest in getting players like Murphy, Willock etc as far from the starting Xl as possible. I’m not 100% sure who is the answer between Gordon and Barnes but it certainly isn’t both of them. Watching Emery on the touchline was brilliant btw. Villa really got nothing all game.
-
Yep, been watching both. Man U have really turned up.
-
We don’t have the attacking players for it and won’t until we buy a couple for the starting Xl. Nothing we didn’t know.
-
It isn’t the worst thing. Especially not when the alternative is a Sheffield United side who’d once again contribute nothing to the league.
-
You’re not seriously suggesting Lewis Hall has been more influential than Isak this season?
-
He’s a twat. We don’t sign twats.
-
Based on his 0 league goals since last season? It’s not just pace you lose with age and physical deterioration, it’s sharpness. He just looks second to everything even with a head start.
-
It’ll be on the plus thing, surely? Outrageous if not televised. I’m in the States for this one and I’ve had it confirmed it will be shown, but I swear to God I will cancel my Sports package in protest if not on in UK. Diabolical.
-
I’ll be critical of Bruno when he’s poor but at this point we can’t put a value on him. He’s priceless in that he basically IS the club. Certainly now. His value is here and nowhere else.
-
I admire the Man U fans (the real ones I mean) for having Amorim’s back but there’s genuinely eff all to suggest he’s capable of turning the club around. He has Pep’s overemphasis on ideology with little (at best) of the intelligence, or the skill needed to manage both up and down, as impressions go so far.
-
I really thought that shit was done with over a year ago.
-
That’s a fair point, like. Less so at Man U, but Spurs will be a bear pit.
-
They’ve lost 6 games out of their last 13 in total and also managed to draw against Spurs in that time. Their form has been poor - and you know that.
-
Bournemouth have been terrible with the exception of about 3 games since they played us. They’ve really dropped off.
-
It’s every game, though. It’s the epitome of a soulless club.
