I completely understand the reluctance of some to criticise but it’s not rocket science is it. We’re 2 completely different teams home and away and it screams of being unable to find a way to play when we can’t pin a team back.

There no way he’s evidenced he’s an elite coach. I love Eddie but that’s basically an absurd thing to say. He has shown himself to have a lot of potential, a very fine man manager who consistently improves players and a fantastic ambassador for the club - and pretty much exactly what we needed this past 2 years. Elite is something else completely.

I don’t think playing him away from home is an advantage currently with the rubbish we play on the road. At home is a completely different story, obviously.

Fucking hell what is with all these daft rumours today? Like Trippier people need to find reasons for errors beyond the person in question simply being fallible. Eddie Howe’s personal life is to blame for us not being able to string 3 passes together away from home.

At the peak of his ability he was sold by Bournemouth to us in the Championship. He’s also spent the last 2 1/2 years warming our bench because no club has ever shown any interest and he’s seemingly happy collecting a wage. I’ve no idea what this ‘influence’ is but we don’t need any of our players learning from his example if we want anything approaching a winning mentality.

That’s a complete fib, to be fair. As much as I’m happy to see him getting support this morning.

I think Trippier’s a lot mentally stronger than to let one of our pissed up daft words away at Bournemouth effect him 6 weeks later.

Problem is, you drop Trippier you’re taking away our most creative player by far. Don’t let 3 goals against 10 man Fulham fool you; everything goes through him. It’s something that needs addressing in midfield and out wide and I have a reasonable amount of confidence Eddie knows that. But until we spend money he absolutely has to play unless he’s totally fucked.

Trippier? He basically ran the first half against Milan 7 days ago along with Bruno.

Feel bad for him. Not a coincidence that these errors seem to happen away from home when we forget how to keep the ball, the front 6 go into their shells and he’s got no one to exchange with. Also it’s blatantly obvious and has been for a while he doesn’t like playing next to Lascelles.

No one is saying it’s his fault that he’s shit. Or that he was chiefly to blame. The decision to give him a full half of football is indefensible thought. He literally can’t contribute.

At his very best he had no business being anywhere a team with our ambitions. To be getting minutes every game 7 years later is a disgrace. And yes, it does set a tone.
