No reason he can't become a full back in the Ivanovic mould in time. Not saying he'll ever be as a good, but with an effective wide attacking player in front of him you can't complain if he's defending well and a strong attacker of the ball in both boxes. Having a full back who doesn't need to be wrapped in cotton wool and allows attacking players to attack is a pretty big advantage.
He's technically very good but he has the physical assertiveness of a small boy. No good being great on the ball if you're constantly getting knocked off it.
The chants from our end have been utterly embarrassing for a long time now. I hate our support. No atmosphere at home and a 90 minute mongfest away from home.
you could base it on the general incompetence of the rest of the league
Tripe, man. Give me a team in Europe except Real and possibly Bayern who you'd confidently say would beat them. They've sadly got an absolute dream team of players and are managed by someone who doesn't lose at home and rarely loses away.
Football of fear. It totally permeates the league. So many average, if that, managers all frightened to play expansive footy from the off.
Or maybe he's just not playing well?
I'll never understand anyone, especially someone in this country, supporting diving, like. As if pretending has any legitimate part in professional sport.
