Well, obviously. The theory about Coloccini playing badly in connection with being massively angry at Pardew fails, though. He couldn't have been that perturbed if he was publically defending him and going against the fans that were singing Jonas' name.

I'm almost convinced that as a general rule the biggest egos in football belong to those who set up their team primarily to nullify. There are exceptions but the nicest, most self-deprecating ones at the forefront of the game let their players off the leash.
