Nobody worth listening to is backing Pardew over him. Pardew is a terrible manager and Hatem doesn't care about his career anywhere near as much as he should. Both are open to criticism.

He doesn't have the 'sniff of goal' attitude/ability if you like to be as prolific in that role nor would he settle to basically being a specific type player. He likes to roam and likes to pretty much run around getting involved. He's no target man, he's too good a footballer in terms of vision, creativity and passing to play right up there. He's got to stop roaming, though. He roamed far less in 09-10 and scored 40 goals.
