  1. Only reason we've ever spent his money is due to his failings tbh Tbf not at first, but ever since the KK blow up thats been it. Not so sure about that. What was our net spend in that first summer under him? Not much.
  2. Ronaldo

    Shola Ameobi

And to do that he had to change countries. Says it all about our shithouse excuse for talent development.
  3. He's a decent Premier League centre half, man. He's absolutely nowhere near as bad as you make out. As for the Monday Night Football mention - we played on a Monday night just once in the second half of the season, against Arsenal. Granted, he had a poor game but against a team with the style of Arsenal he was basically doing the job of 3 men with Williamson & Dummett alongside him. We were barely noteworthy in the second half of the season so I'm doubtful Neville & Carragher even gave us much of a mention in the coverage of other teams games. Mind the MNF against Everton when he was literally frightened of Lukaku wasn't good viewing. He ran away from the ball ffs. He's on about Colo.
  4. He's certainly been vital in the last two seasons when we've conceded almost as many as any side in the top divison. The pair of them have laughed at him several times this season.
  5. He was Neville and Carragher's Monday night laugh riot for half the season, man. Not even Argentina want owt to do with him.
  6. £6-8m is a fair price for a decent Championship striker almost out of contract? You're clinically insane.
  7. Most of the women in the country too, by that logic. He's a national laughing stock amongst football fans even down here.
  8. Listen here my good mate, I'm just saying MYM and Anita are players we should be building a team and a footballing philosophy around, but both are likely to be marginalised (at best) because, in part, of the lack of ability and leadership of the players directly alongside them in the side.
  9. Amazing the midfield has a - supposedly good, according to the majority on here - defensive midfielder, in addition to Anita who's duites are mainly of a defensive nature yet we're still talking about the lack of protection for the defence. The sooner we see Tiote and Coloccini out of that side the better.
  10. If it stops him playing higher up the pitch they do.
  11. At least Milner's not in midfield or out wide.
  12. Did you see any when we (England) beat them at home and drew with them away?
  13. Waste of time telling that to Heza the supahfan.
  14. Pretty much yeah. Basing that on my opinion from the potential he demonstrated whilst at Montpellier. (saw a shit load of Ligue 1 games on my time off the sick with my back) but sadly it's not going to be. Fair enough. I think his lack of size and ability in the air will always hold him back in this country to an extent but he could become an NUFC great, no doubt.
  15. No I mean best ever since when? Ever?
  16. So age isn't a mitigating circumstance? He's had 2 poor world cups when alongside the likes of Owen, Crouch and Heskey. Get real.
  17. Its not nonsense, it was pretty much accepted at the time. And I'm not from anywhere near Armagh. Armagh isn't even in my country Nobody said you were.
