I want Rafa IN NOW. Howe seems like a good, dedicated guy but he's failing at his job so far. If we continue like that through February, then Staveley should be ruthless. No point in persisting with something that's not working, while uncle Rafa is jobless.
-
Our situation is so dire that this seems like a very good deal.
-
I'd stay clear of any out of form player who is on 200k+ for now.. PEA, Ramsey, Bale etc.. Unless it's a low-risk loan deal maybe. Of the strikers linked, I'm most hopeful about Gabriel Barbosa. He'd give us the widthdrawn, technical striker option we've lacked for years. A player like him can transform our entire attack if he hits the ground running. And while I'm on FM mode, there are a couple of interesting English wingers with a lot of promise playing abroad - Noni Madueke for PSV and Michael Edwards for Guimaraes. Edwards is too small for the PL maybe but we need more players who have the courage to take risks, to create and run at people.
-
What a bunch of complete losers.. Wasn't expecting anything else from today but this squad should be cleared in the championship. These fuckers are completely done
-
It must be tempting for Howe to go for some Bournemouth fellas that he trusts but Steve Cook? He's pretty shit, I doubt that this is true. I've always been against 'trophy' signings but this time it's different. We must make a bold claim in the transfer market while the takeover is fresh. High profile signings would be a powerful signal to other agents and players that we're serious about competing at the top, regardless of our current position.
-
Of the seemingly available players, I'd go for Trippier, Digne, the dutch CB, Arthur and somebody who can play both RW and striker. 100 million. fuck the league
-
Would Digne and Martial join us? Doubt it, even with a low relegation clause.

I'm a fan of Lascelles, he's given a lot to the club but he's often complacent nowadays. Should be benched for a bit in the short term and in the summer we should be proactive in our attempts to offload him, Shelvey and any other fucker who has grown stale at the club. Regardless of what league we're in. Most of these players have defeat and failure ingrained in them by now. It's time for a new mentality and new leadership. A successful January window can bring much needed competition for places in the squad. This should raise the performance levels of some of the old, tired guard.. Previously I was under the opinion that we must not overspend in January but fuck that.. we're crying for quality in absolutely all areas. It's a very tough ask though - the kind of players we need wouldn't come just cause we're full of Saudi dollars.

A deep, narrow and compact counter attacking 4-3-3. - Four huge combative CB MONSTERS in defence, Tony Pulis style, but the wide players are adept at bringing the ball out.. - Three physical box to box midfielders. Two of those would have to be a world class playmakers but still primary defensive, the third can be an outright anchor man, effectively a FIFTH CB. Understanding between the trio is key. - Two direct inverted wingers/forwards with godlike ability. - A target man striker. Dirty tackling, combative deep defending with 7 players, direct counters with 5 players and complete domination at set pieces- throw ins, fouls at the center - everything is floated in the box. Would require a lot of quality and stamina from the attacking players like but I'll coach it into them no bother..

fucking hell man.. Get well soon Eddie! Is he the only one that's tested positive? The guy has been living in the training ground since coming.

There is more! Why did they cut it off ffs??

General NUFC stuff: club crest to be changed (Official)

Should take the opportunity and recruit Demba in some role. -
The Steves are nowhere in sight. Stephen Purches, first team coach and ex-team mate from Bournemouth is in the video. It's been reported that Jason Tindall will be the assistant manager and Simon Weatherstone will also join as first team coach. Graeme Jones will stay obviously.

What a fucking guy!

Aye, we should avoid Coutinho, Ramsey, Bale and any other player on mega-salary, whose careers have stalled. There's no question they'd be an upgrade on what we have but we can dug ourselves in a hole very quickly - like Everton - if we are not prudent with salaries. The most important trait we should look for in a player, apart from technical and physical qualities must be determination and desire to improve. Fit and hungry players, instead of high-profile stars, every time for me.

Binge watched a lot of interviews and features on Eddie last night. Such a cool guy.. would be amazing if he's a success here. Don't care if he plays Shelvey or Hendrick - I'm 1000% behind him. I'm sure he'll get all the support and love from the stands too. Finally we're UNITED!
-
Always liked Eddie Howe, seems a cool fella but this would be a very risky appointment. He can lift our players' morale but can he mould this limited team into a possession-based attacking outfit? Can't really see it. I doubt Tindall and the rest of his backroom staff are of very high expertise and Howe's reputation won't attract us any outstanding players in January either. Still, would support him 100% of course.
-
Emery is the best of the seemingly available managers, so I would be delighted with him. His defensive organisation and pacey counter attacking style will fit in with our limited squad. Only genuine concern is that Hatem straight up hated him and Hatem can't be wrong. Will worry about that once we're safe though.
-
Nahh.. Fonseca would be a very risky appointment imo. He didn't do too bad at Roma points-wise but his football wasn't all that and the fans and the players never really warmed to him. He doesn't seem particularly charismatic or influential as a person either.
-
Gaawd, Howe would be a weak appointment. I'm in favour of a stop-gap manager until we sort the structure and everything but he's shown he can't adapt to a defensive game plan and we don't have much quality in attack to be expansive. I'm not sure his motivational skills alone would be enough to carry us to safety but after a fraud like Bruce it could be enough. Bournemouth's collapse the other year was horrific though. Him and Tindall looking lost on the touchline week after week after so many successful seasons.. Not sure of the calibre of the staff he'd bring too. Somebody like Gerrard, Lampard, Cannavaro even, for all their inexperience, will likely arrive with a quality coaching entourage.. It's a hard decision for the new owners for sure but Emery seems attainable and more suitable for the task. Luis Campos is out of a job too. We should be all over this dude for DOF.

With us and Keegan it doesn't really matter if he has seen a game in ten years. The crowd will be behind him and the team 100% and that alone guarantees we'll survive this year. Not the man who should be tasked with implementing the long-term vision of course, but for an interim we can do a lot worse. He's now a serious age but he might accept this one last short gig if we persuade him. Make it happen Amanda! In the mean time we can appoint directors in January and give them time to implement a new world class structure and appoint Nagelsmann or whoever in the summer.
-
We must take our time to appoint the best sporting and financial directors to implement and oversee the whole football transformation - including the appointment of a manager with mid/long-term focus. Everything else will just make it harder for us to kickstart the process. The appointments, the procedures and the overpriced sponsorship deals would surely take several months, so in the mean time the priority is not to get relegated this season. If that's indeed our primary aim - an interim manager who can guarantee safety - then indeed why not go for the huge PR win - Keegan? Even if he's out of touch with the game, there's no way he'll get us relegated. In fact, we all know that if his character is in it, he'll galvanise and transform our players and the whole club in six games even if he doesn't recognise the opposition's players.
-
Yeah, I think they are wary of sacking Brucie's 3-4 people as there's so few experienced coaching staff at the club. The owners probably fear that the players might react even worse if they're prepared for PL games by Gr Jones and a group of youth coaches. Plus Shearer and Caulkin might have said a good word about Brucie's "integrity", Lascelles might've mentioned that he's a good guy.. Same reason why Charnely is still employed - there's nobody else to do the daily stuff. We should be patient. It's important that Amanda and Mehrdad get the initial appointments correct, despite their lack of experience in football.
-
Maybe the owners fear that there won't be enough support staff to oversee matters without the Steves. Which might be true for all we know.

Big up to all the positive warriors for keeping the hope alive all this time! @manorpark @Whitley mag and the others! Cheers!
