  1. his legacy is the same legacy which he inherited from Souness. he failed to address the important issues, which were clear to everybody (center backs, full backs, creative attacker) The only thing we should be grateful to him for is bringing Martins, although i'm sure he preferred Kuyt at the time. He should've tried Luque and N'Zogbia instead of buying Damien 'never be the same' Duff, who we're stuck with now..
  2. pity mate, not the best first game. better luck next time. What killed me wasn't that we lost, it was that the players had already completely lost the fans. The small Man City away section completely out-cheered the entirety of SJP for the whole game. You could hear a pin drop where me and my mate were sitting. Just a horrible, horrible year for the club, I suppose. you find that at most grounds these days ie the away fans outshout the home fans, because the away fans are the real diehards and part of going to away games is the whole day experience. Getting match day atmosphere at football grounds is a bit of a problem and needs addressing by the authorities, the solution IMO is allowing standing areas again. It's been a horrible last 2 years mate, hopefully the new manager will start an upturn in fortunes again I've only ever been to 3 away games and we never scored a goal in any of them but i loved every second of the experiance. Absolute belting time. I agree with regards to standing tears, would be great to see. yep.. only in the premier league you get the away support outsinging the home fans, because of the regulations and season ticket allocations..it feels like like you're at a theater or something.. that's why i mainly go to away games..Newcastle have one of the best away supports in England, so it's always worth it
  3. there's no dispute.. Pearson will fuck off as he should and there will be a clean start for Zog
  4. it's more important who sings at the games tbh and who sits at their seats chatting with his old pals about the good old days
  5. Aye. What a let down he was. Only 17 goals - in his first ever season in the Premiership, in a s*** team under a s*** manager - effectively saving us from relegation. Infact, i believe that Oba is the sole reason for why we have had such a s*** season. Also - it was the signing of Oba that meant that we haven't won the Premier League this season, and the season of 95/96 aswell. He's just so, so, s***. What an unbelievable disappointment the guy has been. Even the biggest Oba supporter can't deny that in the last 10 games or so he's been a passenger. who hasn't?
  6. i usually go to most away matches in Europe and like 2 or 3 premiership games a season..

    Is it just me....

there's this sports presenter on a bulgarian channel who I suspect has some sort of stimulant habit.. always ultra-excited, talking with 10 words a second, waving hands, sweating heavily, enormous eyeballs.. 100% crank junky
  12. i really hope we don't sign this wanker piece of shit Joey Barton.. he MIGHT be better than what we have, but 5 million is too much for somebody who might end up doing jail time soon
  13. one on one with the man who never fears anything? i wouldn't handle it personally.. i think i'm going to run as fast as i can
  14. here we go again.. the man is not a 'nice bloke'.. he's the type of person that'd blame it all on the others, he turned his back on the players and fans a long time ago in his interviews, which were designed to please those that could fire him. remember 'nobody better was available' after the transfer windows or 'nobody could've done a better job', or talking about next season's plans hours before he 'resigned'.. of course he'll come up with some nice words, just to put a nice spin on things.. well, it's too late, cause everybody knows he failed because of his incompetence and lack of character
  15. i was watching ESPN earlier today and they've said that Houllier has rubbished reports he's interested in the Newcastle job.. after that they showed SGE's agent basically saying that no contact has been made but Sven would like to come here, as it's such a "massive club with great infrastructure ( ) and great fans." probably nothing new that, but i can't be arsed to check as there are too many threads about the same thing
  16. also Grande Roma thrashed Inter 6-2 earlier.. great game
  17. Why? Because the players haven't performed as they should? You're funny. no. because he sold me his pubic hairs.
