I've defended Wood on here and think he does a lot of really great work that goes completely underappreciated. Not having a shot when through like that though was so bad - he has a complete lack of any confidence at all even after scoring recently, it's so weird.

Literally only played half a friendly but he looked good enough in that that I'd much prefer him as the backup over Darlow. Dubs is complicated because he's a great keeper but clearly won't be happy to sit on the bench.

That first training session back is going to be awkward as fuck. Still, he's a decent keeper so should find a club where he'd be first choice. We just happen to have picked up a much better player for pennies.

Expect him to go in the summer. Not because he's not good enough, but the opposite actually. He's too good to not play and should leave for minutes - pretty sure when he joined us it was said that he'd signed because he wanted to play. Just unfortunate for him that he's being kept out by a brilliant defensive system.

On a more positive note - Maxi looked well up for it when coming on.

I'm really not sure what to say to your asking for an example. Pick basically any time we go forward with Trippier right up with Almiron and Burn hanging back with Schar & Botman. Happens about 60 times a game
