  1. Where did Joe come from? We were offering 6 games at a club that was soon to be sold! If that was still the case, yes, bring in s*** Aidy, but it isn't the case anymore. Make up your mind. First your saying Aidy Boothroyd isnt good enough for this club, then your saying unless its a 6 game deal. FFS either you think he could do a job here or he couldnt. I think he could. Does he excite me? NO. Do I think he will bring us the champions league? NO. Do I believe we can attract someone who can excite me and deliver us the champions league? NO. Im looking at the situation realistically (Ask you teacher what that word means). Don't be such a prick, there's no fucking need for it. Anyway personally I'd like to see Advocaat or Jol here, think they could work with the system and get some good results.
  2. Seriously, someone needs to go to the next game with a big sign saying "OI JOE, GIVE XISCO HALF A FUCKING CHANCE!!". He's scoring in the reserves, he scored when he played his small amount he has for the 1st team, what more does he need to do?

Can't wait for some of these players to come through, sounds like some of them could at the very least make some handy squad players.
  4. Yeah I saw, looked like a right twat.
  5. Oldtype is spot on tbh. Blackburn have to compete with a lot more teams, 2 of which are 2 of the most popular in the world. If we were situated in the same place, I'd be willing to bet we'd be in a similar position.
  6. We will never have anyone at this club, of his quality, again. Our owner has decided that the height of his ambition is mid-table mediocrity, if he is lucky. He speaks about us like that, I assume he thinks about us like that (both of these are from 'reports' as he does not actually speak to us at all) and if you read what many people on this board write, THEY too think that this is our rightful place (the best we can hope for). The days of sheer excitement at our 'potential to achieve' . . are over. The days of quality players wanting to come here and then coming here . . are over. I am not being pessimistic, just factual - as most on here seem to routinely acknowledge, particularly the younger ones who appear to accept and be 'happy with' our lot. Do one. I assume kindergaten was closed today because of the snow? It was actually as you well know. I assume that's why you're so pent up today. No opportunity to get your rocks off, right? Anyway... ignoring the melodramatic nature of your post... is it really necessary in here? Plenty of other threads on the state of the club. My post was in response to an earlier post, which you have not included here. Yes, it is appropriate to this thread as people need to realise (some cannot and some can, but seem to think it is 'ok') what a long-term state we are in. Because of the nature of our owner, management team and players, we no longer have any will (or expectation, or ability) to succeed. The facts are never (as you call it) 'melodramatic' - they are . . . er . . . the FACTS. I find it hard to accept these particular facts, but I realise I have to - why don't you? "We will never have anyone at this club, of his quality, again. " That is not a fact. It's melodramatic bollocks. Based on all available facts - it's bleedin' obvious. In the absence of a crystal ball (you got any?) all references to the future contain an element of conjecture, however, our future seems reasonably clear, based on facts available. Sady, only one word really applies to our beloved club now . . . MEDIOCRE. We need to accept that. Key word. Now. As in, not always. To say that we will never have that sort of quality again, IS nothing more than melodramatic bullshit, and YOU need to accept that.
  7. Gonna miss him big time. Thank you Shay for 11 years of fantastic service, most loyal player after Shearer. Just shows how far we've fallen when class acts like Shay are this desperate to leave. Would have preferred he left in the summer, but can't blame him for wanting out asap.
  8. He's playing for Malaga now? I thought he was still at Ajax.... Shame because he is a very talented player. Been a shite bit-part player at Malaga. Bizarre what happened to him. Was great at Depor, came here and turned to absolute shit.
  9. What you can't tell from that image is that the camera is actually in the Sky Helicopter, trying to get a nice view of the SOS before the match. Then fatty rolls along and ruins hours of hard work.
  10. Sometimes I remember him at Leeds and think he'll come good for us. Then I wake up.
  11. On SSN just now: Reporter: You've also been linked with an Egyptian winger, any truth in that? Allardyce: An Egyptian Winger? Well it's nice to hear that they're coming from all over Europe... Yeah try North Africa, idiot.
  12. Right, "Best Mates" have tattoos with eachothers names.

    Black Power!

    Sums this entire thread up.
  14. Nah I'm not sick of it. I'll follow this club up until Liquidation, although I pray it'll never come to that (shouldn't, as apparently we are debt free).
  15. Because we're Newcastle United. Everything we do has to be geared towards failure.
  16. What does being the better team have to do with it? The season doesn't finish today. Our performance has been reasonable and we're going to pick up more points between now and the end of the season than the shite we've been playing against today. If not for a dodgy penalty decision we'd still be on top now and pushing for a win. Stop making excuses. You make your own luck. He's right though. Everyone's exploding with "OMGZ REGLOGATIATION!!!1" whilst overlooking how well we've played today and how shit Blackburn have been.
  17. Fucking beaten to it. I agree with what you're saying oldtype, some people need to learn that just because our club is going to hell doesn't mean we should take it out on eachother. We're all in the same boat.
  18. Love Arsenal, just the way Wenger has built his team, such a classy way of becoming a great side.
  19. Ronaldo is a grade A c***. Messi has his feet on the ground and seems to appreciate everything Barca has done for him. Ronaldo will bottle it when the going gets really tough, I think Messi would battle it out more. For that, along with his superior ability on the ball, Messi > Ronaldo.
