  1. agreed to a point....but what about his last 20 for us,as opposed to the clubs last 20 ? He's got 5 in his last 20. Owen has that in his last 8. I love to see them both play, but I can't understand the Oba-love, and the Owen-hate. How many starts has he had in those games as opposed to Owen? I'm not getting at Oba, I'd just like to see Owen get a bit of "Englands Number one" and that, but the fans give him nowt. To answer your question, Owen's got 5 in his last 720 minutes, Oba's taken 1320 minutes to get that. You havent answered my question - how many STARTS has he had as opposed to Owen? I haven't got a fucking clue mate. Why don't you tell me?

  3. How petty. He's got 5 in his last 20. Owen has that in his last 8. I love to see them both play, but I can't understand the Oba-love, and the Owen-hate.

  5. I like Martins, but you know he's scored 1 goal in our last 20 games? Doesn't quite deserve the
  6. That's quite an exaggeration, don't you think? No. Who's a more proven striker that's going to sign for a relegation fodder club? Next season? I don't think we will be then, but I can't see Henry having the same level of faith based on this season.

  8. Signed 10 years later and with a tiny percentage of his starts. Owen will never be another Shearer, but he's the best striker on the planet that could possibly be up front for us next year.
  9. Don't change a winning team. Not a win like that anyway. Right. Viduka's dummy made Owen's goal. He makes Owen and Martins work. Dummy? Wasn't it a flick that would have MOTD creaming themselves if Ronaldo had done it?
  10. Owen has been shining for a while now, the rest of the squad are slowly catching up.

A true fan would have been away off to the bar to get his pint and pies in. Or possibly nipping off just after the second goal to go home for the same. You really can't stand anyone missing a couple of minutes of the game can you? I remember a bloke in the Gallowgate, when it was all standing, who spent the entire game stood on one of the rests 6ft above the rest of us with his back to the game just singing at the crowd behind him. Greatest fan I ever saw and he hardly saw a second of the game.

what would premiership crowds be like if it was £10 to get in. it's far cheaper in germany to go to football and good on them for having it that way Agreed, but thats also the reason it doesnt have the talent of the premiership! Also, few premier league clubs can hold 50,000. Bring back standing and have a world cup here. and it might happen.
  17. Why should Owen pay for his injuries? I get paid when I'm off work sick, and we got £7M back for the games Owen has missed.
  18. I agree. Keegan obviously wants to bounce the Board into a decision, but the reality is that none of the big four want him, and clubs outside the big four will have trouble in both matching his wages and convincing him to sign. Man City are keen. At least Sven is. Tell Sven its £23 million, not a penny less. If the swede still wants him, then let him go. With a year left on his contract, and less than 40 games played in 3 seasons, we'll be lucky to get £5M. With an extended contract and lots of goals next year, who knows? Exactly. But Sven is willing to throw silly money at players he wants. If he pays well we have loadsamoney. If he doesn't we still have Michael Owen He has a release cause that makes him available in the summer & it is meant to go down in value, so last year it was £9 million, this summer it is meant to be £6 million. http://www.premierleague.com/page/Headlines/0,,12306~1145251,00.html The previous chairman said there was no release clauses when signed him. He said there was no clause that he could leave after one year.
