totally agree. first half, yes we were closing down well etc - you wouldnt expect nothing less. but for long periods they simply couldnt get the ball off us. we were playing some fantastic football in their half, it had balls to do with getting in their faces, we simply played much better football than them

if our midfield can keep the ball like they did yesterday, 1st half especially, he and the whole back four will have much easier ride than when we went down.

Was really impressed with how quick he was on the ball. No dilly dallying, head up looking for the pass. CM is such an important position and if you replace someone like smith with some who looks like he could be a very good player in cheick, then we will reap the rewards.
