  1. Its would be a fucking crazy decision to bring him back. What on earth does he have to gain? He was a laughing stock when he left and as soon as it went wrong everyone will say exactly what i just said in this sentence.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

if the opportunity is still there then i would have certainly thought so. If we are paying for all his medical care, and that fact CH will have seen enough of him to know how talented he is, it would be crazy not too.
  3. Ranger is doing a Matrix kick!
  4. Cant imagine Taylor being to far away? Im sure CH said he was only a couple of weeks away - a couple of weeks ago?!
  5. No, he's just better than Perch. You would have thought so, but Perch done alright on sunday to be fair to the lad. And I remember being in despair with Simpson at times last season getting raped of Championship level wingers. Time will tell i guess.
  6. Frustrating so far. Only in the fact that we know we could be sitting in a much healthier position. Even 3 points against Blackpool would have sitting pretty on ten points. But cant complain at the lads spirit an effort, and there has been some really nice football at times too. I really think we'll be fine because of it. I have much more faith in these lot than i did in the relegation season. Next 3 games - HUGE.
  7. will hear more about him and Ben Arfa in the next day or two i would imagine.
  8. Can imagine the crowd and players being we up for this. Hopefully Wigan will crumble.
  9. Im not so sure, if anything im more confident we can stay up. We played really well in parts against a team who is supposedly fighting for the title. Ben Arfa is a crazy bad blow, and we seriously need to get a striker in January, but i think we've got enough to stay up. Next 3 games are massive.

it was beautiful that despite his broken leg, he still sat up and waved to the fans. My God Ben Afra, we aint finished we each other yet!!
  12. funny though, coz he took the piss in the championship. also, dont agree with the post above about Williamson. He can hold his own in this league.
  13. Total no show today. He was great last year, but just looks a totally different player in this league. shame.
  14. was great today. Well played lad.
  15. Great athlete. Gets caught in possession too much and makes some atrocious passing decisions. It's the kind of thing that could be fixed, though. What on earth are you talking about? I'm guessing you didn't watch the match today? Since he has joined I can't think of any atrocious passing decisions and he has maybe been caught in possession once or twice at most? Did he destroy you in a past life Baba? yip, dont get that comment at all. Best player on the park today
  16. I think also it was to do with fact they had just scored and werent as eager to push forward. We done perfectly well in the 2st half with 1 up front, expect it should have been Carroll and not shola
  17. I really think we'll beat them . I think the two week break will do us good to let everything calm down from today including the fans. I think if the game was next weekend i could see us losing.
  18. is what i was thinking. not a single mention anywhere about it being in doubt.
  19. Please excuse the length of this article but it's a serious matter and one that has really wound me up for it's hypocracy. As we know Newcastle United football players have been involved in a great deal of violence, over the last few years, either against each or and more seriously against members of the public. The club, and in particular the manager, seem very slow to condemn this and there seems to be something rotten about the NUFC. Carroll’s trial will now begin in Newcastle on Monday, October 25th. I've taken an interest in this case and, thanks to a friend in the NE press, have found that the timing is very interesting ........ the trial was to have taken place earlier but the club's solicitor pleaded for a delay. The 'deal', if I can call it that without fear of litigation, is that they've accepted that Carroll may have to serve a prison term but want the conviction over before the derby match and the sentencing afterwards. This means that, at least, two convicted thugs will be playing for Newcastle against Sunderland ........ at a time when feelings will be running high and there are Sunderland people awaiting trial for similar offences. Carroll’s troubles occurred at the Blu Bambu night club in the Bigg Market in Newcastle last December 7th and his trial will be held before Judge John Milford, which is reported to last up to four days. He could well become the second Newcastle player within a couple of years to spend time in prison, which is not disgraceful. Carroll chose to be in that club whereas the Sunderland people were literally 'railroaded' into arriving at Central Station to be met by police with dogs and an organised gang of Newcastle people who had been informed of the train's arrival. The train was not even supposed to be there yet a large number of Newcastle 'fans' were in the town despite that being the football close season. There's something fundamentally wrong with these double standards. For that reason I've mounted a petition, copies of which will go to Judge John Milford between the conviction and the sentencing and also the media and the club. For anyone wishing to sign the petition I'll be in Sunderland on the 23rd of October, before the Aston Villa game, and also in Newcastle City centre before the derby match on the 31st. I hope I can rely on your support. It's about time these highly paid 'hero's' actually tried to act with some dignity and be the role models we expect them to be. Thanks (If you manage to read through all that ) 01:36 PM.. Riviera is online now Read more: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=528746#ixzz11DFGS8lh
  20. you cant start a player based on his past record against a team.
  21. nope, club has confirmed there is no injury at all. Pretty nailed on for a call up would be my guess.
  22. i agree. if we get a couple of decent results leading up to this one, it will be a canny crowd. Im looking forward to it.
