The press and some fans, have once again, blew it way out of proportion. Firstly, you expect a team that have just come out of a relegation fight (remember that?), to break the top four the season after? Or the season after that come to think about it? And secondly, most people actually agree with what he has said? So what the fucks the problem?

Players want to win trophies. Top players want to play for successful teams and win trophies. If they had a choice between Newcastle or Chelsea, of course they are going to choose them. Whats wrong with saying that? Its common bloody sense.

In terms of getting rid of layers because they arent good enough, id get rid of Ramage, Shola, Carr and Smith. Zoggy can go because he wants too. Id keep Duff, Capaca etc for squad depth

so some people are suggesting get rid of 8 or 9 players, and replace them with 4 or 5? Isnt our squad small enough as it is?

To be honest, i think there are still quite a few managers in the premier league who would take a punt at Smith. I think a few will still rate him, afterall they havent seen him as much as us. dont think it was Geremi's set peices that were the problem. I think putting 9 corners into the box full of Campbells, Diop's, Distins, Kanu's, Muntaries (sp), Jame's is always going to be difficuly. We never once tried to mix it up. Going short, edge of the box etc. That was the only frustrating thing for me. HOwever, i think it was actually a really good result. Playing against a very good and strong Portsmouth team. We are getting better each game. Another clean sheet. I thought Vid looked tired to be honest. He'll do better against the Mackems though. Dont think Beye could push forward as much as he did against Reading, thats fair enough. & as someone pointed out earlier, Enique did give the ball away, but him and Martins are obviously tring to get an understanding down the left. I think slowly but surely, we're getting there. Just give us 3 points in Sunday, and im a happy man and looking forward to next year!

There was a few I recall Keegan needs to get the triangle passing back, I think that's the first thing he'll be going for. most of them came from Roz. There was a hell of a lot less than there has been.
