  1. And we'll probably start the bidding at £20m. Both numbers are equally unrealistic, but we'll likely meet in the middle. Or we'll look elsewhere. We showed over January that we won't be held to ransom, despite it being January and us being 19th.
  2. Of course. I take absolutely none of it seriously. Just Luke Edwards clearly hasn't understood that his Tweet pretty much says we'll make no signings.
  3. So we're not signing Pacqueta because the price is inflated. The prices of all other players are also inflated. So I guess according to him we're signing nobody?
  4. Yeah, basically everyone who wants a move or a new contract will have their agent saying we're interested. It's going to be stupid (but fun!) all summer.

Oh and whilst they might well give out the most tickets, I'd love to see the comparison table for gate revenues over the season. Thousands of their tickets are free, many not even used yet still counted just because they were handed out. Their revenue per ticket is absolutely laughable and millions behind most of the clubs they seem to be crowing about being "bigger" than. Charge full price like everyone else does, then you can make comparisons.

Wonder what Millwall fans see in Sunderland fans that makes them so fond of them? Oh hang on, aren't they the only 2 sets of fans in all of league football that are so racist they've booed the knee taking so much that their players won't do it any more? Nah, probably just a coincidence.... It'll be Millwall's dislike of gravy. That'll be it.
  7. Wow, I could still remember the audio commentary word for word for the goals vs Grimsby, I'd recorded them on a tape at the time and listened to them on repeat all over that summer. Amazing to hear them again all these years later. Whatever Mick Lowes may or may not be as a person (I've absolutely no idea), I'll always have a fondness for him for the commentary of the matches of that season.
  8. Given how many cup games - domestically and European - Man City will play, you don't need to play 80% of their games to still get almost as many games as you'd get playing as a regular for Leeds. Plus the massive payrise. And the trophies.

They were always going to get out eventually, just pleased they've had 5 years down there. Plus winning is always more fun than losing, irrespective of league and they've been chasing promotion for their whole time down there. Hopefully they just stink up the championship for years now and have a shit, miserable time of it. Won 7-0 at snooker this afternoon though so my day's been good already.

Put in a fabulous cross for Rob Lee to head in at Wembley.
  11. Whether or not he's good enough for a top-4 team as a starter, he's definitely good enough as a squad player for a top-4 team - And we're not a top-4 team yet, not by a long way. So aside from just not getting ahead of ourselves, even if we were a top-4 team (which we're not) then I'd still want him around. For the fees quoted, for a young English fullback who can play for the next 7 or 8 years at a very high level, the fees quoted make it a no-brainer.

I think it's actually upside down. You can see on the left edge the strip where it attaches to the pole, so they've got that bit right. But it's upside down.

I've zero interest in watching it. I might log in here or check BBC for the score a couple of times, but that's about it. And that's only if I remember it's on. Is it Saturday or Sunday? Saturday I'm off to play snooker in the afternoon for starters. I'll laugh if they lose, I'll shrug if they win. Either way I'll then just get on with my day.

This. The original comment is correct.
  15. I'd be absolutely livid if we binned off Howe and appointed Mourinho now. For starters, Howe has worked miracles and I want him here for a long time. Secondly, Mourinho has done nothing good for years.

I'm going and I don't even know what day it's on. Actually bought 4 tickets and I'm going to lie across all of the seats for 90 minutes just so I count as 4 mags.

    Isaac Hayden

He has been and still is a very decent player. Whether that's enough to keep him at the club given our shifting ambitions, time will tell. But whatever his future I wish him well.
  19. What the fuck is this madness? Nurse!
  20. We're currently closer to the European places than to the relegation places. Just incomprehensible given where we were at the half-way point.

    Miguel Almirón

I so wish we'd play him as a 10 because he's just not a RW and judging him as such is a massive shame. Still had a very decent game tonight though.
  22. This is an important point and one that I didn't appreciate fully until the Palace game. Until then, I'd been incredibly impressed by watching him on TV. Then I saw him live and was just in absolute awe of him.
  23. Be delighted if we signed him. He'll be at least 7/10 every week, absolute minimum. Often more. So solid and consistent, and utterly reliable. Sure he's not a flair player, he's no Cafu, but we need depth and we need English players too. He could play a really big part for us for many years. Given the fees bandied about, I reckon he's an absolute bargain and we'd be mad to not sign him if the opportunity is there.
  24. What a fucking performance that was. I thought we had a good chance, but I never thought we'd batter them for 90 minutes and completely play them off the park. I'll be exercising my option to work from home tomorrow, and rolling out of bed at 09:59 for a 10am start. Now though? I have beer.
