Lovely free kick when Wilson hit the bar

Newcastle United 0-1 Borussia Dortmund (25/10/23)

That was strange. Both the players and crowd seemed shellshocked by being behind, which is a bit strange considering. Then came alive in last ten. -

Do people not know the backpass rule -

Our fans sometimes man. We can be great, but the audible anger so quickly after it turns and someone makes a mistake (e.g. there when Pope punched it) -

Why was he in so much space? -
Close - D Peacock left in 98.
-
He only played 21 games that season. Must've been some sort of statement about how shit we were.

Is this list of player of the year accurate? I remember the last few, and they make sense. But there are quite a lot of strange ones in there. Darren Peacock for 1995/96 for a start. Rob Elliot for 2015/16?? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newcastle_United_F.C.#Player_of_the_Year

I went in on friday and didn't seem to
-
Only scored 3 last season, but two of those were those against the mackems
-
Never knew he was in Corrie.

Barcelona to a red v blue

Love him on the pitch and love his enthusiasm in interviews. I was one of the more positive people but he's surpassed my expectations substantially, one of my favourites.

Settle down lads. Mostly remember the shots I sliced. Would be good if Branko makes it next time, heard he bottled facing Neesy. Just back in my flat in Vancouver Island after a train/tube/plane/ferry/bus. Mad that to me I was playing with yous yesterday morning in Dunston

Chris Wood (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

That more open play goals for Forest than us already I think (2 open play and 2 pens for us in league, and another open play against Tranmere) -
Boss on the pitch too, organising us to victory from the back

there was a period around 80mins with the longest silence I ever remember hearing. Like I said it was partly understandable, but 4-0 up hearing that I was fidgeting in my seat with awkwardness waiting for it to be broken (could’ve done that myself like so who am I to talk)
-
Three next to me all missed the second and third. I was raging thinking about what people would give to get in and see a goal these days. Don’t get it at all.

Ar here we fucking go Alan Pardew
-
It was a decent standard all round, I think we should put a team together to take on RTG.
-
Was a bit of a strange one, was almost too easy. Teams didn't help tbf by trying to run the clock down - that was also weird for a mid-season game.
-
For future reference, I proudly have the trophy in my possession on behalf of the whites.
-
Lovely to meet yous, sorry to miss yous for the rest of the day. Howay the whites. Big thanks to LFEE and Yorkie for organising.
