  1. Agree it’s not my preferred outcome but it’s hardly a disaster. Would leave us a point ahead of Man City with a game in hand and a point behind Villa also with a game in hand. Not to mention potentially in good positions relative to Chelsea and Forest.
  2. I just saw one of his goals on Instagram as a paid publicity post. From his official account
  3. We beat them in our last three games, with an aggregate score of 11-2.
  4. Similarly not nervous. Obviously I want a result and losing always feels shit, but we've bought some room to lose this game. I'll be very happy with a draw, a win and we're absolutely flying.
  5. That interview and growing up as a Chelsea fan in Cumbria...stay clear.
  6. Promotion has always seemed likely for Burnley, I’d be surprised if it collapsed any deal
  7. I feel like if you’re the best penalty taker at a premier league club you should be able to confidently hit it where it’s virtually certainly beyond the keeper, without any trickery. Clearly naive!
  8. After hardly playing for two years he seems to be playing an important role in getting Leeds over the line to promotion.
  9. There’s plenty of time for off seasons where we miss out on CL and have a shot at the Europa or Conference League, just like Chelsea etc now. Quite possibly next year when we may drop due to having to cope with CL. There’s no way I’m actively hoping we miss out on CL when we’re on course for it.
  10. I think we’ll do it. But it doesn’t take long to throw away a 5 point gap at the top, where teams win often. Just look at Forest. I’m optimistic, we’re heavy favourites to get in, but it’s not done.
  11. For Manu this has all come from that FA Cup win last year v Man City. They’d have missed out on Europe two years in a row on league performance - now they could have Europa and CL stemming from that cup win. If Coventry had hung on in the semi, they'd have no FA Cup, no Europa League, and no possibility of CL and another cup.
  12. I want 4th or above, I don’t want that shitty bonus 5th spot, Tottenham were fifth last year
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJPWEjNnyTU Was such a lovely move at 1:33, was gutted it didn't go in. Lovely Tonali crossball, lovely little touch from Trippier, lovely ball in from Murphy.
  14. I'll tell you what, we're still fighting for this title.
  15. Hmm now I've seen it, I think it's a pen. You can't clatter into someone's head like that.
  16. There was a time this season where we were quite low scoring. Now only Liverpool and Man City have scored more than us - and Man City is just a single goal more. We took over Arsenal and Tottenham tonight. We only drew level with Chelsea at the weekend.
  17. Saw there was a bit of trouble with the big Gallowgate banner today Impressive that it's the first time I've seen that happen.
  18. Second season in a row we've scored twice in first half stoppage time v Palace.
  19. I didn't either til I saw them all singing and clapping along to it.
  20. What a great win. I was more nervous for that than ManU. Loved the penalty save. Trippier told the fans to make noise for it, and fans responded - I was behind that goal. Think I celebrated it more than the goals, big moment.
  21. Backfired too, they just sang along to it. I didn't even clock he was taking the piss, I was wondering why the fuck they were playing a song for the Palace fans when it should've been one of ours.
  22. Four goals in 3 for Barnes means giving Guehi that one. (didn't question it!)
  23. Since Brentford away (league only)
  24. I reckon I was pretty happy with Howe from the start, though maybe not as excited as for Emery. What he did with Bournemouth was clearly a big achievement and never saw the eventual relegation as negating that. However I did start to question him last year when it started to feel like we’d been mediocre for about a year (Nov to Nov).
