A couple of decent centre midfielders and a left back would make us quite decent. Shocking at closing down or effecting the game at all in that centre. Wijnaldum and a new centre midfielder with a winger coming in would be decent.

A decent coach / tactician would surely by now be coaching our midfield/defence to hunt in packs and close down space as a basic organisational skill. The sheer lack of tactical awareness from our players is astonishing, they can't even get the basics right never mind put together fluid attacks

Out of current 11 I would probably keep Janmaat, Mbemba, Anita, Perez - maybe Colback coz he gives a shit and possibly Dummet but only at CB. Jury out on Wijnaldum, Cisse played ok yesterday but won't last, Mitrovic and De Jong may be decent as well. Sissoko and Colo would be gone straight away

You cut the cancer out of the club, banish the players not showing the effort and bring through our younger players, who may be raw but will also be up for it. Short term we need results and need to tighten up in midfield and defence, become a unit and compete. If that means dropping Sissoko, Colo or any other player pissing about then we need to make an example. Mclaren needs to stop thinking of Sissoko and Wijnaldum as wingers because more often than not it offers nothing. We need that solid centre and that may mean deploying 3 centre midfielders. aye, SMC has been as weak as p*ss from day one, taking the softly softly approach and they've ripped the p*ss out of him as a result he should have made some hard calls from the off, dropped some of the w*****s and sent a message, they clearly don't respect him and think they'll play regardless and they're right And that's the problem that the younger players like Perez are being sacrificed while Sissoko wanders about aimlessly with less fight or aggression than Anita, who at least looks like he gives a shit.

If anything at least he offers some height and looks reasonably comfortable on the ball. We can't keep going with the shit defence that conceded 8 goals in 2 games
