I think we will be ok just by the fact there is so much shit at the bottom. We need 4 wins out of 17 games, I would hope we can manage that or 3 wins and 4 draws.
-
You really should do a little more research before coming out with stuff like that. Didn't Garde coach those same players in the academy / youth teams?
-
He will love his family being abused in Newcastle then when he fails miserably because he's a french and not a hardened premier league manager of fine british stock
-
Sell them to Pardcunt (Except Santon and Haidara) - we should let them have Dummet and Gouffran
-
I worry he won't know how to play long ball football and deliver at Stoke on a cold night. He will come here with his fancy dan ideas of passing, movement, being tactically sound and not ostracising players of ability when we will crave Williamson, Dummet, Colback and Gouffran.
-
Imagine we actually had someone with the potential to not be a total cunt or bang average, with half an idea how to develop players and tactically sound. Still a risk appointing anyone but not having yet another mediocre British manager would be a god send for a while. Too good to be true, will be Carver boooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Hmmm or Hate anything like this. Suggesting that the Premier League is the be all and end all. Granted, Serie A isn't anywhere near what it used to be but even so. 80,000 capcaity stadium in Milan or 28,000 in Stoke? Playing alongside the likes of Palacio, Kovacic and Vidic - or Crouch, Sidwell and Walters? I think I would rather live in Italy than here if I had a choice, the scenery, food, weather for a start
-
Foreign coaches generally just seem to have more of a style they want to play and half an idea how to implement it. British coaches just seem to want to pick the same old cloggers, appear incapable of developing a good passing style and call hoof ball "winning football". That guy who said our last 5 top managers were English failed to realise we have only appointed Gullit that didn't come from uk in last 20 years
-
Well can we at least rename it to the "Alan Pardew it's never his fault" thread? Or the "Steve Parish appreciation" thread?

I think Ashley will get his way somehow, certainly not daft when it comes to getting what he wants in the business world Not sure he will want to when hes making moeny out of them simply owning 9% or whatever. If he dumped us for Rangers surely thats the definition of daft in business terms? Well you would think so given the money we make in premier league compared to lack of TV money etc up there unless he is banking on Champions League but not sure they would make anywhere near us even then (Would they make 60 mill in CL). But he must have reasons for trying to up his stake, he's not really in the business of losing money and while I hate him at our club he is pretty good at what he does from the looks of it (Wish I was worth 3 billion)

Need to try and build a team around him. If he keeps progressing the way he has he will be worth at least 20 (Given that Berahinho is apparently 23 million)

We already have him in place, no need to appoint man :-) It is amazing with sacking Pardew that we can't even enjoy it properly as we are so worried who the next c*** is. I just hope we don't appoint Carver or another nugget Well this was always going to be the issue, just people were desperate enough to roll the dice. Can only hope that the rumours about Carr being closely involved are true, and we've decided to look at some actual managers. Certainly hope so, I trust Carr judging by the players he has managed to source.

Football is a simple game made complicated by fuckers like this relying on stats etc while as you say ignoring the passing etc. Watch a few of our games and the cause of our problems are evident, we have very little width, shit concentration, very little movement / disrupting shape of opposition, certain players with a lack of technical ability such as Williamson, Dummett, Tiote, Gouffran, Riviere. From a tactical point of view we don't have support for the front man / closer support when players on the ball and don't compact when the opposition have the ball, in addition our high pressing is garbage. We did in the past press high up and forced mistakes - not all the time but quite a few times it was effective, now we run around like headless chickens.
-
And so it begins. I mean, continues. I am speechless "I think we played well but these numbers here say we didn't so we must play more grafters." I didn't need to look at "physical data" stats whatthefuckever, I just used my eyes and watched the game and noticed they were all over us. I hate the way they rely on the data when all they need to do is open their fucking eyes. The data is useful perhaps for deep troubleshooting where something has gone wrong, however most our problems are simple ad basic organisation, tactical mistakes.

As in by 4 goal difference (5-1)
-
Would be Stoke I reckon
-
Inside Pardew will be hurting. How dare Crystal Palace win 4-0, they put themselves at risk and Dover might have scored 1.
-
Don't agree with this, I reckon he does have some decent coaching and man management to a degree (Due to the fact most the players don't hate him). I also agree he spots problems, but he has fuck all idea how to solve them, he won't open Palace up, he will try and close them down and reduce goals conceded every time as his front foot football is a myth.

We may struggle to get 2 wins judging by last couple of games. You probably have to ignore yesterday when considering performances. Against Burnley, who you have to remember are a form side we put in a very good first half. You would have to believe at this stage that there is no reason that can not be transferred into a 4 to 5 wins at least, especially with Aarons, Abeid, Cisse, De Jong and Santon coming back, and perhaps more opportunities for Cabella under new management. I admire your enthusiasm and optimism but... - Burnley are in the bottom three - Two of the players listed are unavailable for the whole of Jan due to the ACON - The other three have played a combined 5 games (approx) this season Like I said, admire your optimism but there's just as much reason to be massively pessimistic until we know who's in charge We have played 2 shit teams and looked much shitter overall. Yes we have Perez and Sissoko, we also have the shittest defence and a clueless mini Pardew in charge.

I kind of agree with dropping Ayoze like, but he should have been able to get a performance against Leicester out of the rest on the pitch or came up with a tactic foir getting the draw. Instead we barely played football by the sounds of it with very little fight and quality.
-
Fuck, it's going to happen isn't it. We will be lucky to get 10 more points with him in charge

When Paul Merson starts taking the words right out of your mouth its really time to take stock and realise you couldn't be more wrong They'll learn though and its going to be painful, well deserved! Even if expectations are bottom, Pardew will still surprise when they are bottom of league 1
