  1. TBF the match wasn't really a MOTD match, it was a very professional, solid performance from us and as a result we restricted their chances, so I wouldn't be surprised.
  2. Honestly haven't enjoyed supporting Newcastle as much as this for a long, long time. Even when the expectation was higher, there were still players I didn't like, but there's not a single player in our team I dislike, despite their limitations, they will pretty much always put in a shift.
  3. Absolutely outstanding player for us so far! Beast!
  4. Nice to see Tioté trying to emulate Nicky Butt's bicycle kick earlier as well!
  5. He's been playing really well lately, but he's had a bit of a stinker so far today. Every player has off days though, without exception, so let's not get on his back off the back of one game.
  6. Very impressive stuff, absorbed the pressure well and tried to have a go ourselves. It never ceases to amaze me how composed we always seen to look on the ball. Only negative I can think of, Jonas has had a mare at times.
  7. I think I prefer Willicini.
  8. Good luck with that. Yeah I saw that. Deluded much!
  9. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20101104/cheik-tiote-answers-your-questions_2281670_2207017? Hi Cheik, sometimes you have quite a unique way of running towards opponents. Can you tell us why you do it? Michael McNally It's all about the desire to get the ball back! It's just what I do. I do it with my heart - I don't really think about what I'm doing, I just do it!
  10. I'm a big fan of Williamson, but I personally think he has looked on the verge a loss of form at times lately (prior to the Sunderland game). He hasn't really dropped any clangers or anything, just a few signs at times that he's looked a bit uncomfortable. Whilst I'm not saying Williamson should be dropped, it's nice that we have someone of Campbell's ability to call upon if needed... and he's fit.
  11. "Agreed, and how the fuck Villa were 3 down in that game at half time defies logic."

Quite nice that we've smashed the two teams that rubbed our noses in it the most when we went down
  13. Shola's looked pretty decent of late. Seems very assured in his first touch, not afraid to have a go at the opposition, and has been linking up well with the team. Dare I say it, his performances have been the most "complete" I've seen from him. He can also take a fucking penalty! Don't think I've ever seen him miss. I didn't think Ameobi and Carroll would work tbh, but credit to the team, they seem to know it's a massive strength of ours to stick balls in towards them, and quality ones at that. I don't think we're particularly a long ball side either, we can work the ball quite patiently from the back, and we have players capable of picking out passes. Doesn't everything look just that little bit better when we give a team a hiding!! (Especially when it's Sunderland!)
  14. That's some return at this stage of the season.
  15. What a guy! Great passion, great leader, and despite his faults mobility wise, he's technically a quality player!

I'm not saying he's gonna turn out to be a world beater, but I think he's got something about him and could turn out to be a decent player. Needs to learn a lot though, particularly in his positioning, i.e when to help a team mate and come to feet for the ball, and when to make a run. He also needs to get used to playing in front of a load of people under pressure.

Bit early in the guys career to be saying stuff like that. Thought he put himself about quite well at times tonight. Very raw though and needs to probably go out on loan.
  18. Also, that's such a shit mentality being happy as a bench player training with good players basically sponging off their glory. If he has any interest in his profession other than it's paycheck he would want to be playing every week. He's either a money grabbing cunt, or he's deluding himself into putting a positive spin on his situation. Probably a bit of both.
  19. Prick. He might as well have just fucking said it really, we're the only team he's been at that's been struggling to that extent. I really can't stand him, and the fact that it seems like he separates himself from the involvement in and the blame for our relegation. He should be at the front of the queue taking responsibility, being our captain and all.
  20. Would be a good signing if we could get him.
