I'm not sure how to add a poll, but I just wondered what everyone's preference would be if they had to take either: Finishing as Champions but losing against Ipswich, hence losing the chance to match a 100 or so year long record of going undefeated at home all season, or; Finishing second but going the season undefeated at home. Hopefully we'll achieve both, but I don't know what I'd pick to be honest, I'd be gutted if we lost to Ipswich, but at the same time I'd hate to see the smug look on Roberto Di Matteo's face if they finished ahead of us. If I had to choose I think I would go with being champions, but it would be very bitter-sweet considering we're so close to both.

Only saw the highlights last night. Some decent finishing in those goals. Jonas' looked like it was going well wide, surely it should be an OG? Routledge's goal was very good. Nolan's was like he was playing a pre-season game against a pub team

Selfish cunt he is. Always thinking about number one. Not far shy of the truth tbf. But, hey ho...

Sorry i don't actually know who you are? Yes but that's a moot point at the best of times. How much is the Tube over to Wembley? Sorry i'm afraid i don't engage in conversations with newbie's trying to make a name for themselves on an internet forum. Good luck in life unknown newbie. Make a name? Now everybody will know the name of Haris Vuckic! That Haris Vuckic proper merced KD, I will never forget him for that!

One of my pet hates too!

Are you joking? His biggest weakness by far is his lack of ability on the ball. Yes Ronaldo, I'm joking. I made that post to fool everyone who bothered to read my input! You're all stupid for believing me. He wasn't exactly an old fashioned centre back that liked to punt the ball up the line for us was he. The majority of the time he liked to play the ball out.
-
That was a penalty IMO. Palacios' knee took hit the attacker before he got the touch on the ball. A harsh penalty I guess, but not surprised it was given.
-
My best mates a Spurs fan, he thinks he's alright but would pick Dawson, Woodgate, and King ahead of him if they were all fit. Surprisingly he thinks he's not very good at playing the ball out of defence, whereas I thought that was one of his biggest assets for us..... Unsurprisingly he think's he pull shirts and clings to people too much.

Yeah I remember Andy Gray being impressed that Boumsong matched Henry for pace when he first signed for us. He was very good when he first signed, same as Cacapa, and Colo, and no doubt many others...

32 out of 40 games I'd imagine a fair few of the games we've not been top are due to us having games in hand as well?
-
Dunno if it was mentioned during the game, but I did laugh when they showed Hughton clearly mouthing "Fuck off Wayne" when Routledge missed after being put through by Nolan.
-
Williamson is holding a bottle of Champagne. He's that big!
-
Fair do's! It doesn't matter, cos WE'RE UP!!!!

He played 4-4-2 at home, with 2 wingers, 2 attacking centre midfielders, a quick striker with a tall striker and went for the win. What else is he gonna do? Who mentioned selection? The selection has a lot to do with the gameplan. At the end of the day, the guys statement was hardly laughable whether you completely agree with it or not.

That really does say it all about you. I understand your criticism of a very poor rating for Routledge, but what's wrong with the Hughton statement? It's hardly miles wrong from the truth. Even if you don't agree with the lineup player for player, I can't imagine your lineup or tactics would be much different.

You'll get no disagreement from me there! Great goal though, and looked to have had a decent game overall too tonight. I knew that was coming
-
Harper 6 - Didn't have a lot to do, was blocked for the goal. Simpson 6 - I don't trust him, looks very flat footed. Didn't do a great deal wrong today though. Backs off too much though. Enrique 9 - Could have had 3 or so assists today, how does he turn the winger inside out every time and walk out with the ball. Never seen a player successfully do it so often. So strong and fast. Colo 7 - Solid, classy. Williamson 7 - Really impressed with Williamson, hope he can carry on next season. Guttierez 8 - Some very good runs, keeper made a great save from his curling shot. Hangs onto the ball a bit too long when in his own third when he could lay it simple. Nolan 9 - All of his attributes apart from his mobility are premier league standard imo. Good first touch, good pass, good finish. He drove forward a lot especially early on (put Routledge through with a brilliant pass). Brilliant goal. Guthrie 8 - Some good passing at times, some imo were sloppy or lazy. Was involved a lot. Routledge 7 - Sometimes brilliant, other times it didn't go for him. Not a bad game, could have scored one or even two. Love watching him play though. Carroll 7 - Did alright, some good touches and passes. Didn't do a lot really but won the penalty and generally brought the ball down well. Lovenkrands 7 - Some very good movement, took his penalty well, but his finishing was quite poor. Barton looked lively when he came on as well.
-
Wow, Guthrie 9?? I'm sure I see a different player to what 90% of people on here see, I must be missing something. He played alright today but not a 9 (imo of course). I find some of his passes just sloppy or lazy. Enrique (could have had 2 or 3 assists today) or Nolan (simple passes, good touch, great goal) for MOM for me. Doesn't matter though..... WE'RE GOIN UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

For all the criticism he's received this season, I have a lot of time for Nolan (and Smith for that), for his role both on and off the pitch. It's hard to deny he's been massive in us achieving promotion this season.
-
Fuck you very much championship! :bluestar: :bluestar: :bluestar: :bluestar: :bluestar: :bluestar:
-
Tut tut, we haven't WON it yet!
-
And have cameras fitted everywhere so you can pan round in the replays to make sure!
-
99% of opinions when it comes to football are hyperbole and knee jerk so some are going to be a bit over the top (although people are hardly saying he will definitely be a massive success next season). The guys had a lot of criticism this season, let's at least give him some of the praise he deserves as well shall we.

Could just imagine the thought of the ref flying up beside Routledge as he's booting it up the wing!
