I jumped up and celebrated so vigorously that I thought I was going to faint.... the noise in the ground faded out and I felt my eyes rolling backwards, I just grabbed the people either side of me until I could stand on my own. Scarey!!!! Think I might have perferated my ear drum though, the whole right hand side of my face feels like it has been booted. Totally worth it though! What was the scuffle all about in the front of the Leazes just as the second half started? Saw someone being taken out by the stewards after some sort of fight kicked off.....

The range of Spam products is simply amazing, they have thought of everything and wrung out every last drop of marketing potential from it. I was listening to Radio Newcastle in the car on Saturday after their match and they were slating the strategy of West Brom for having a loan player in their first team.... "They will be screwed when he goes back to Chelsea" etc etc... Short memories when they had a full team of loanees a couple of seasons back and it was fine then...... Of course when it was then players like Danny Welbeck would have really wanted to stay at Sun'lun if he had been given the choice..... And Danny Rose is just chomping at the bit to stay with them forever and ever.... I was in stitches at them.

I have heard that Santon's girlfriend, local to North East and quite young (19ish), is pregnant. Anyone else heard that? If so I cannot see him wanting to leave just yet - plus it would be unlikely for such a young girl to want to go and live in another country with a new born baby. Depends which stand you are in. East Stand you need 10mins before kick off, all the rest are no trouble to get through turnstyles as far as I can see.

Saw him on Saturday about quarter to three as I was walking up to the ground, he was driving into Stowell Street in his Range Rover. I heard a couple of lads behind shouting some dogs abuse at him.
