Agreed. He has no technique, no vision, no skills. He is just a big lump who is strong and a bit physical. Its only throw-backs like Dalglish and Allardyce that have kept someone like Carroll a PL player. He had a purple patch for us for a brief spell but he still looked a bang average footballer and in time I reckon he'd have become just another Shola type for us, but without the professionalism and right attitude. 2 shocking posts there. Whatever his weaknesses, he'd walk into our side when fit. Agree. Would make an excellent focal point for our attack if fully fit. Unplayable when fit and served correctly. Good out when under pressure too .

They won the World Cup you know.

Just put 7.50 on the draw at 4-1 and 2 quid on West Ham at 25s. All bases covered now.

We've got the biggest fraudulent simpleton as a manager. Possibly even more so than his opposite number today.

It's happening again folks. Yet a fucking gain

Perfectly summed up this like. I've backed Taylor to the hilt but he's at the age now where these stupid errors should be well eradicated.

I Loic to move it move it

Need to score in the next 20 before Pardew gives them his keep what we hold speech.

We should have started rebuilding after the 2010 debacle. And sacked off the so called golden generation. Capello is as much to blame as anyone.

Not much mileage in picking Baines after this WC . I'd get Shaw straight in personally. Let's get a future built the quicker the better.

Ahh. A BrettNUFC post I concur 100% with.

I'd have taken Cabaye off too tbh. I thought he looked like a definite red card especially with how Liam Gallagher was reffing. Wouldn't have been Cisse in his place though.

Just imagine if that was the criteria Ashley uses. Ryder would gain a million mates overnight

David Beharrell. Mike Jeffrey Chris Holland

He did have better players around him, for sure. He never really brought the ball forward though iirc. When Madrid sold him they said they wouldn't miss him: “We will not miss Makelele. His technique is average, he lacks the speed and skill to take the ball past opponents, and ninety percent of his distribution either goes backwards or sideways. He wasn’t a header of the ball and he rarely passed the ball more than three metres.” They missed him a lot though! I don't think Tiote has Makelele's positional intelligence and calmness but, there is a role for that type of player. It's just that when you have that type of player it's meant to give license to your other players to attack but Pardew doesn't have the stones to allow that. Chelsea obviously played a transition game and used him as the main recycler of possession in the opponents half. If you're going to play that type of game you need a hassler in there. When you've got an uncreative midfield and attack to begin with I just think we're compounding the problem in playing a DM. There's a place for him against City and the like and I said that at the start of the season, but at home he'll hold us back more often than not. I know what you mean re the uncreative offensive part of our game but I guess if we're not creative we need to be frugal at our end of the pitch. Kind of catch 22 really.

For every Bobby Charlton there is a Nobby Stiles.

That's not strictly true. The other one is starting well, getting a goal ahead and then instead of continuing to play well, play more conservatively, hand the opponent the initiative and either lose or draw.

He is the epitome of the label " a good professional". We will look back on his time here fondly I think and always gave us 100%.

Now collapse you fucking red and white striped pissants

bollocks it did. He only moved to RW after a dozen or so games of which he had only scored a couple goals 1 of which came off his arse. We even gave him a penalty to take to boost his confidence... he missed that too Again he changed the whole style of play to accommodate Ba to the detriment of the team. Of course he did. Don't know why Enoch is arguing against it.

I look forward to more detailed analysis from both perspectives.

Bullcrap, that second goal was a blasty and no blasty's are allowed. That one was rightly disallowed but the 25 yard diving header compensated. Finished 3-1. A golden moment for the yellow and blacks. A golden shower for the whites.
