My memory for this stuff isn’t good, anyway I wasn’t arguing we’d played well. In fact I said we hadn’t. But I’d say only the two I mentioned were really poor.

I think he’s OK at LB in certain games, but fatigued away against Brentford was not one of them. Actually think we could easily have won that game if Burn had been taken off. It’s inexplicable that he was left on after the first penalty shout.

In theory Woltemade seems ideal for a central role with 2 goalscoring wingers playing with him. It’s not really working but I don’t think it’s something to pin on the big lad alone.

The second one was just a make-up call for the first one. Cowardly officiating in both cases but who the hell knows with how VAR is being applied now.

As depressed as I am we’ve really only had 2 really bad games against Ham and Brentford. They are the most recent but Brentford away was highly likely to be very difficult and not necessarily one we were likely to bounce back in. At the same time we obviously aren’t playing well in general. That needs to improve. TBH I could make a case for us losing any or all of the next 4 unless we find a better performance. That’s not because I think it’s a crisis, it’s just because we’re playing badly and they’re all challenging games.

The global elite managers also tend to have much better players.

Got an email about 'finally' being able to preorder (why preorder?!) a membership pack with the 24/25 season on the front of the box. As if we've been waiting for them? I guess it’s just generally more dangerous to pass the ball straight into midfield I guess. I loved how we managed it versus Bradford but since then we haven’t managed it as much.
